While ASUS and Lenovo were showing off their latest gaming-centric smartphones last night, Samsung quietly released their Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphone as well. Looking at the sources, it seems to be the exact same model that was launched earlier this year but with 5G support and it costs $1,449.99 (~RM6166).

You're probably thinking "whatttttt!" But while Samsung isn't scheduled to unveil its upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5G until 5 August 2020, pre-orders for it will be going up soon. Somehow China has gotten a bit of a leg up on everyone else and will get to pre-order the clamshell foldable by this week.

Based on a statement from techradar.com, it seems that Apple might be working on a foldable iPhone with some features similar to what is found on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. While not much is known in regards to the exact details of the foldable smartphone, Apple patent from Patently Apple seems to hint that it comes equipped with two camera sensors.

Based on a statement by notebookcheck.net, it seems that Huawei could be working on a foldable smartphone similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, based on a patent filed to the World Intellectual property Office. While not much is known in regards to the aforementioned device, another source mentioned that it will most likely be called the Huawei Mate V.

Yesterday, we had a good look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in Mystic Bronze which looks gorgeous. While this flagship has striking similarities with the Galaxy S20 series, we suddenly got ourselves a treat of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G model in Mystic Bronze as well.

Based on a statement by a user on weibo, it seems that another variant of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G has been spotted and it seems to come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset. Not only that, based on the source the smartphone is expected to be unveiled alongside the Note 20 series during the Galaxy Unpacked event which might be held on 5 August 2020.

The next Samsung Unpacked is still a few weeks away, but leaks on the Galaxy Z Flip 5G have already been appearing recently. Previously, it was just small reveals like the name and colours. Now, the device has also appeared on Geekbench and confirms some of the device's specs.
