It isn't a feature you're going to need unless you really need it, but water resistance turns out to be the main feature that saved a woman and her friends in an accident at sea near Japan. Reported by the TODAYShow and retweeted by Tim Cook, Rachel Neal and friends were knocked overboard near Okinawa Beach, Japan and lost their way at sea. She made an emergency SOS call with her iPhone, after which she and her friends were rescued.

We've talked about the rumoured Apple iPhone SE 2 before, but it keeps getting overshadowed by the anticipated iPhone 8 over the past few months. Despite this, rumours have it that a new supplier for the iPhone SE 2 was chosen and manufacturing has already begun since May this year and they are looking to release them next year.

Surprised? We are too. HTC U11 is now the fastest smartphone in the world according to AnTuTu’s list from May 2017. The U11 has overtaken the Apple iPhone 7 Plus spot with an average score of 180,079 to 174,299, followed by Xiaomi Mi 6 at 172,494, and Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ with 172,368 and 172,359 respectively.

In case you missed it, it was confirmed that the OnePlus 5 actually has a water resistance feature. It was not mentioned during the official reveal on 21 June 2017, but OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed it, thanks to a curious YouTuber who tested it.

A teaser image showing the OnePlus 5 has surfaced showing the placement of the dual rear cameras. Coming from @slashleaks, the dual rear cameras are positioned much like an Apple iPhone 7. Rumoured to be the thinnest OnePlus yet and maybe coming on 15 June 2017, these are still very much rumours, so do take them with a pinch of salt. In related rumour news, 4 more sample pics have appeared apparently taken using the OnePlus 5 and seemingly confirming that the dual rear cameras will be a RGB + monochrome combo.
