Defense Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced the newly added quarantine stations for all suspected Malaysian and foreign visitors. A few prominent five-star hotels were also designated as quarantine stations for Covid-19 out of the 63 new gazetted sites by the federal government yesterday.

The extended Movement Control Orders (MCO) have been going on for 17 days and it will be ending on 14 April which is two more weeks from now. The government will decide if Malaysia’s conditions are safe to end it or continue further on the extension on 10 April.

Selangor has canceled the annual Ramadan bazaars in the concern of the COVID-19 pandemic joining in with three other states Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and Terengganu. With that, the health minister said it may consider innovating the new idea of organizing a ‘drive-thru Ramadan bazaars or online bazaars’.

The government has announced that Menara City One is to be put under enhanced movement control orders (EMCO) after 17 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the condominium. This is the third EMCO area announcement after 2 Simpang Renggam areas and 7 villages in Hulu Langat were put into EMCO. This is also the first directive that involves a condominium building in Kuala Lumpur.

Just last Wednesday, our Prime Minister Muhyiddin officially extended the Movement Control Order (MCO) for everyone's benefit in hopes to minimize the COVID-19 spread. During his second live telecast last Friday, he also mentioned that Malaysians will be receiving their 1GB free Internet data starting from 1 April, but didn't say how. Thankfully, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) released an official statement about this a few hours ago so here's the full breakdown.
