This week quite a lot happened as Huawei came out with their Honor Magic concept phone for sale with all the sides and corners curved. Wiko announced their Ufeel Go phone with 4000 mAh battery for just RM599 and the ASUS ZenWatch 3 also got announced for RM1199. You can also pre-order Apple's AirPods for RM849.

Today, Huawei Malaysia has announced their most premium device - the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 will be available for pre-order at 11street and VMall.my starting tomorrow at the price of RM6999! But here's the catch, there are only 5 units on both 11street and VMall.my each, and if you missed your chance of getting it, there's another one coming on 22 December 2016 as well at all Huawei Authorized Dealers in Limited edition.

According to Huawei, they've managed to sell more than 9 million Huawei P9 smartphones and they are looking to exceed their projected 10 million sales volume. Featuring a unique Leica enabled dual camera monochrome mode only matched by the Huawei Mate 9 and Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9, the P9 has won various awards along with the hearts of black and white photography enthusiasts around the world.

While the Huawei Mate 9 and Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 arrived with plenty of fanfare, Huawei have quietly listed the Huawei Mate 9 Lite on their global site. Featuring a dual rear camera, it appears that Huawei are reserving the monochrome mode for the higher-end versions as the 12MP + 2MP rear cameras instead focus on wide aperture or "bokeh" mode much like the Honor 8. The overall design is the same though but the Leica branding is gone as well. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet.

We know that the Huawei Mate 9 is coming to Malaysia on the 22nd of November through Lazada – but a new report seen online is saying that Malaysia is also getting the other two variants of the Mate 9 – the Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 – on the same date!

This week Huawei dominated the news with their latest and greatest Huawei Mate 9 and Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 smartphones to go with a Huawei FIT smartwatch as well. Xiaomi managed to slip in their Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 Prime smartphones while Olympus announced their OMD E-M1 Mark II DSLR will be going on sale in December 2016. The Meizu Pro 6S and Meizu M5 were officially announced while the Samsung w2017 flip phone officially arrived in China.

Asides from launching their Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 and Huawei Mate 9, Huawei also launched their Huawei FIT smartwatch. Featuring a 1.04-inch memory LCD the FIT is water resistant up to 50 meters so you can bring it swimming and supposedly has a battery life of 6 days on normal usage. The watch measures in at 39.5 x 9.99mm and 35g and works with both iOS and Android phones. Connecting via Bluetooth 4.2, there is no Malaysia release date or pricing details yet but it is available for 199 euros (RM925).

Huawei officially launched two variants, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 (1395 euros) and the Huawei Mate 9 (699 euros). They feature the new Kirin 960 processor and dual 20MP (monochrome) + 12MP (RGB) rear cameras co-engineered with Leica that have 4-in-1 Hybrid Auto-focus (Laser, PDAF, Depth, Contrast), 2X Hybrid Zoom, Leica Vivid Mode and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) tied to dedicated ISP chips. The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 offers all this but stands out by offering a dual curved edge 2K display.
