The Dimensity 1000+ is currently the most powerful chipset that MediaTek can offer. Earlier, the iQOO Z1 has become the first device to utilize the chipset, and we're anticipating more devices to be launched equipping the powerhouse after that. Now, it is rumoured that a new Redmi phone with the chipset will be launched soon and it could be the Redmi K40.

Xiaomi is putting its company into a whole new level with the 6G research and stopping its 4G smartphone productions next year. Today, Xiaomi is rumored to be developing a phone with a 144Hz LCD display with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset after Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of Redmi brand, took the stage during the official launch of the Dimensity 1000 series. 

It seems that a Redmi smartphone equipped with the Dimensity 800 chipset has been spotted on TENAA, and it seems to come with 5G support as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor. While not much is known in regards to whether it will be available in Malaysia, we do know that there might be a 4G variant of the device which is presumably much cheaper than the 5G variant.

Recently, Xiaomi unveiled their latest MIUI 12 Android skin which will be available on all Xiaomi and Redmi devices very soon. In terms of new features, the updated Android skin comes with new animations, new navigation gestures, cleaner UI, as well as various security features to keep the user's private information safe.

Xiaomi has been active in the first quarter of this year. Not only has the company launched the Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max, which is coming to Malaysia soon, we also know that the Mi 10 series launch is happening on 27 March 2020. Another device that's coming soon is Redmi K30 Pro and it's expected to come with a large vapour chamber.

The launch of the Redmi Note 9 series may just be around the corner, but that's not going to stop people from leaking. In the latest piece of leak, some of the tech specs for the Redmi Note 9 Pro have been revealed in a Twitter post. It confirms key specs like the chipset, RAM, and screen size.

Just recently, Xiaomi recently launched the 40-inch Redmi Smart TV which is currently priced at RMB999(~RM590) and it comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. As for the display resolution, the Redmi Smart TV is able to output FHD 1920 x 1080 with a refresh rate of 60hz. In terms of the dimensions for the aforementioned Smart TV, it measures in at 905 x 512mm and it stands at 592mm tall. As for the features, it comes with 2.4Hz WiFi, infrared as well as two 8W speakers.

Awhile back, Realme had teased a photo taken from their 64MP sensor and it was pretty impressive. Not too long after that, Redmi followed suit, showing off a photo of a cat taken with the world’s first 64MP smartphone camera. Samsung had also apparently hopped onto the bandwagon, with rumours mentioning that the Samsung Galaxy A70s may be equipped with the sensor.
