A few days ago, Google had officially announced Android 12 by uploading its source code to Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Not long after, Chinese smartphone brand, Xiaomi, was quick to kick start its beta program for the Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra. However, the bad news is, the early build of the operating system update seems to be turning the devices into bricks.

Today, Google has finally uploaded the source code of Android 12 to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), which means that the latest operating system update is official now. Meanwhile, the company has also announced that several Android smartphone brands will upgrade their devices in the next few weeks. Xiaomi and its sub-brand Redmi are on the list, and they have also revealed which devices will get the update first.

Last night, Xiaomi Malaysia finally unveiled the Mi 11 Ultra and it's sure one big boy thanks to the secondary display beside the triple rear camera. But did you know that the secondary display is exactly the same one as the Mi Band 5?

After announcing the price of Mi 11 Lite for the local market, Xiaomi went on to announce the price of the Mi 11 Ultra tonight alongside the other products including Redmi Note 10 Pro Mi Fan Festival Special Edition and Mi Smart Band 6. The Mi 11 Ultra will start taking pre-orders from 8 April while the special edition Redmi Note 10 Pro and Mi Smart Band 6 will have the first sale on 6 April and 25 April respectively.

Yesterday, Xiaomi have officially released the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in China. But besides that, the company also unveiled two new chargers which are the 80W wireless charging stand and multi-coil wireless fast charging pad.

Xiaomi has officially announced the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in China starting from the price of RMB4999 (~RM3157) and RMB5999 (~RM3788) respectively. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, it does give us a better idea of what to expect when it is officially available in the local market.

Xiaomi has recently uploaded a promotional image on their official weibo account stating that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which is due to be released on 29 March 2021, will come with IP68 water and dust resistance. But that’s not all, the image also hinted that the device can be submerged up to 1.5m in depth for up to 30 minutes.

Teasers of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra continue to pop up daily, in the lead up to the big launch. The device is expected to launch tomorrow with major features, including a possible 150MP or 200MP camera and a new type of battery. It's also expected to feature a new cooling system.

A few days ago, Xiaomi finally confirmed that it will launch the two remaining models for the Mi 11 series on 29 March 2021. Xiaomi wants the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra to be "Android Kings", with other features to match. One of those would be its battery.
