News & Reviews: Xiaomi Mi Drone
May 31, 2016
This week there wasn't any major event or device that stood out in tech, but we did see notable new entries with the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy C5 and C7 smartphones while Xiaomi launched their affordable 4K video recording Mi Drone. Pebble announced some new wearables and the rumours were rife as usual but the more notable one included that the honor 5C could be coming to Malaysia next month while something better and more beautiful would be coming from honor in Q3.

After great anticipation (by many), Xiaomi has announced their take on the remote controlled drone platform, the Mi Drone. Xiaomi recently teased that there would be a drone product coming from them soon and they've just revealed the teaser image. Set for an official reveal tomorrow on 25 May 2016, the Xiaomi Mi Drone looks to be a quadrocopter or similar drone like device with a built-in camera.
It looks like it could also come with it's own dedicated remote control but knowing Xiaomi's usual trend of making their devices "smart", we wouldn't be surprised if you could access and even control the Mi Drone from your smartphone. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details but we expect the Mi Drone to arrive on our shores via third-party sellers. Stay tuned till tomorrow for the official reveal.
