With the release of Android 12, smartphone manufacturers have started working on custom skins for their devices. For Samsung, the beta of One UI 4.0 became available earlier this month and adds plenty of new features. Interestingly, the custom skin will also be available for non-mobile devices.

If you missed the Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 last night, well...you didn't miss much. From the livestream, Samsung announced a new Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition, as well as a new Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Buds2 Maison Kitsuné Special Edition. Basically, it's just a new way for customers to customise these gadgets.

Just a few hours ago, Samsung silently announced that there will be a Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 coming soon. It's scheduled to be live on 20 October 2021 and in terms of Malaysia's timing, it will be 10 PM. No one really knows what device could Samsung show but don't get your hopes up for a new Galaxy S21 FE.

Samsung produces in-house chipsets, but they barely get used by the company's own smartphones. However, things might be changing soon as the latest report claims that the Korean tech giant is planning to push the usage of the Exynos chip among the Galaxy devices.

Back in July 2020, it was reported that Samsung would skip the 4nm chip manufacturing node. Sources suggest that Samsung's competitor, TSMC, would launch its first 3nm chip by 2H 2022, so Samsung decided to go straight to 3nm to get ahead of its competition. And it looks like the rumour is true!

We think the rumours for the competition of 2022 flagship chips are already fierce enough even without them being in the market yet. According to the latest report, the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 2000 will be 20% more power-efficient than Qualcomm's next-generation flagship chip, Snapdragon 898.

When it comes to smartwatches, everyone knows that the battery life is rather short when used intensively. However, that may change as Samsung could be applying solar cells on a Galaxy Watch strap to charge up. Sources say that the company has been toying with the idea for a couple of years.

If you remember back in May, a Brazillian actually won a lawsuit against Apple for not including a charger in the iPhone 12 series box. This is due to Brazil's consumer protection regulator body, Procon-SP accused Apple of "misleading advertising".

Based on a statement by gizchina, it seems that AMD could start manufacturing mobile chipsets in collaboration with MediaTek in the near future. While there is no official information in regards to when will AMD release their first chipset, it does give us a better idea of what to expect from them in the near future.
