Not only ASUS announced three new ASUS Zenfone 3 variants, they also announced three new Transformer 2-in-1 models at the recent Zenvolution event in Taipei – the ASUS Transformer 3, Transformer 3 Pro and Transformer 3 Mini.

Apart from launching their ASUS ZenFone 3, ASUS also announced their voice-controlled robot butler, the ASUS ZenBo. Priced for just $599 (RM2472) the wheeled robot looks to be the main hub in ASUS's Smart Home technologies as it can allow you to control the lights, lock or open the door and more, while also dancing, reciting a recipe, reading books to your kids and monitoring the elderly.

Today, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) announced the formation of a new division, Digi-X. Digi-X's role and responsibility in the company, is to construct digital adjacent businesses and competencies, firmly positioning the company in the rapidly-growing digital arena. The new division will be led by the company’s long-time digital advocate, Praveen Rajan, in the capacity of Chief Digital Officer.

Despite the country's economy slowing down, Huawei Technologies Malaysia enjoyed a rousing response from their customers who turned up last week in their stores for the sales launch of Huawei P9 and P9 Lite, that happened on 28 May 2016. The Huawei P9 series marks the latest flagship smartphone from the mobile giant that is set to strengthen its position as the new choice of consumers.

This week there wasn't any major event or device that stood out in tech, but we did see notable new entries with the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy C5 and C7 smartphones while Xiaomi launched their affordable 4K video recording Mi Drone. Pebble announced some new wearables and the rumours were rife as usual but the more notable one included that the honor 5C could be coming to Malaysia next month while something better and more beautiful would be coming from honor in Q3.

Nearly confirming almost all earlier leaks, the ASUS Zenvolution revealed the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Ultra. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe will offer the world's first all metal unibody design using PureMetal Technology with invisible antennas while the ZenFone 3 will follow the metal frame and shiny glass back of the earlier leaks for $249 (RM1024).

Both will support rear fingerprint sensors but the ZenFone 3 Deluxe will pack in a Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 23MP rear camera with three types of autofocus and 4 axis optical image stabilization and more for $499 (RM2053).

The larger 6.8-inch display packing ZenFone 3 Ultra goes for more familiar rear volume controls with the same camera as the Deluxe but the fingerprint sensor is built into the front home button for $479 (RM1971). It also offers richer Hi-Res Audio with a large 4600 mAh battery.

Doogee Malaysia recently launched their Doogee Y300 smartphone for Malaysia's masses for RM599. Featuring a slim metal frame with a 5-inch 720p display and 32GB of storage, it should offer another value option for Malaysian users. It is also one of the few smartphones to offer Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box. The Y300 is currently available at all authorized Doogee resellers.

Back in March, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro was revealed in China for 3599 Yuan (around RM2188) and it has now been granted certification by WiFi Alliance to a Samsung SM-A910F, which is believed to be an international version of the pre-existing (SM-A9100) model.
