Samsung is well known for making several different model phones to cater for different markets. There's the high-end Samsung Galaxy S series, the productivity Samsung Galaxy Note series, and then there is the Samsung Galaxy J series - the current entry-level to mid-range smartphones from Samsung. The one we have here right now is the Samsung Galaxy J5 – the middle child (at least for now) of the J series in Malaysia. We have already reviewed the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 alongside the Samsung Galaxy J1 2016, and now the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 is next on the list. Let’s see how the phone fares in our review below. 

OPPO has always been known for their good camera quality on their smartphones, just earlier this year, the OPPO F1 made its debut in Vietnam but it was presented as a normal mid-range device. So how does one improve it as the seasons come and go? The answer - prioritize the front camera by pumping it up to 16MP, and introduce the OPPO Plus & F1s to the world as a selfie expert smartphone. Just launched yesterday from RM1699, we managed to get some more hands-on time with the gold coloured Honor 8 and while our first impressions video is coming soon you can a closer look at this versions, see some more camera samples and check out the smart key function of the Honor 8.

Instead of having a separate smart key like on the Honor 7, the Honor 8 integrated it with the fingerprint sensor. The Honor 8 will be available tomorrow from VMALL.my and Lazada along with DirectD and SenHeng with a lot of freebies to go with it.

The Honor 8 is coming to Malaysia tomorrow and we'll be there for its big reveal but we managed to snag some time with the phone and check out its shiny 15-layer glass backside. Featuring a massive leap in design compared to previous Honor smartphones, the Honor 8 has a rounded metal frame with glass front and back that reflect light in various different ways.

Coming in black, white, sapphire blue and gold there will be 2 variants for the phone, one with 32GB storage and another with 64GB. Our initial pricing estimates have the 32GB storage version at RM1699 while the 64GB may go for RM1799 to RM1899. You can get the Honor 8 on 8 September 2016 complete with some extra freebies.

Moving forward from their previous plastic brushed metal backsides, the ASUS ZenFone 3 looks unlike any ZenFone you’ve seen before with its slim metal frame and glass front and back. Featuring 4GB of RAM, a 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and a new and improved 16MP rear camera that can record 4K video and more, have ASUS scaled new heights of Zen with this new ZenFone? It's been two months now since the new Samsung Galaxy J series (2016) was revealed in Malaysia, the three J brothers - Galaxy J1 (2016), Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) came out with a somewhat affordable price of RM449, RM849 and RM1049 respectively. It was also worth noting that only these three have a free YES 4G LTE prepaid SIM card with 2 months of 30GB of data, so it was quite exclusive then. Featuring a flat and thin metal body with ASUS's invisible antenna design, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra is the newest and probably largest display phablet to reach the Malaysian market. Priced at RM2599, we see what else comes in the box asides from a 6.8-inch full HD display and better audio with dual 5-magnet speakers, DTS headphone X audio technology and 7.1-channel virtual sound this is the ASUS ZenFone with probably the best sound and movie display capabilities. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes equipped with a Dual Pixel 12MP rear camera coupled with Optical Image Stabilization. We gave it a go with the slow motion mode in the video below.
