Just yesterday, both YES 4G LTE by YTL and Webe digital launched their mobile plans for Malaysia. Both are using WiMax technology to help support their 4G connectivity and offer some super interesting features to stay connected. Since we had both the YES 4G LTE prepaid SIM card and a Webe digital SIM we took them for a spin with Speedtest.net to check speed and connections in random locations around Malaysia. Launched earlier last week, the Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 was not only priced at RM449, it also came free with a YES 4G LTE prepaid SIM card preloaded with 30GB of data (15GB a month x 2). Huawei Malaysia announced the Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 back in March. It is an Android tablet that's thin and light with an aluminium build, making it a direct challenger to the Apple iPad Air 2. It packs tech specs of a Kirin 930 octa-core processor, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/64GB internal storage (expandable memory available), 10.0-inch screen with an IPS LCD panel and 1920 x 1200 resolution, 13MP rear camera + 5MP front camera, fingerprint sensor, M-Pen stylus and 6660 mAh battery. A brand that no one actually thought in relation to smartphones – TP-Link as announced a slew of new phones that is now available in the Malaysian market. This includes the Neffos C5 Max, Neffos C5L and the star of this review – the Neffos C5. It features a 5 inch display with a HD resolution (that is 1280 x 720 pixels) which is par for the course when compared to its peers – but does it live up to the average user? Thanks to Samsung Mobile Malaysia we managed to get some hands-on time with the new Galaxy J1 2016, Galaxy J5 2016 and Galaxy J7 2016. Priced respectively at RM449, RM849 and RM1049, the new Galaxy J 2016 series was launched yesterday and will be available today alongside the already available Galaxy J3 2016 which is priced at RM649.

Thanks to good demand for the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, we've seen the subsequent release of the Galaxy S7 here in Malaysia. However, we've never seen the rugged Samsung Galaxy S Active phones arrive here, but despite that you can see how tough the Galaxy S7 Active is in the drop test video below with the Galaxy S7 done by the guys at PhoneBuff. Suffice to say, it is tougher than it looks but do check it out for yourself.
