While we covered the recent 64-bit ASUS MeMo Pad in Japan, ASUS have officially announced 3 new tablets powered by the new 64-bit Intel processors. These include the ASUS Fonepad 8 (FE380CG), ASUS MeMo Pad 7 (ME176C) and the aforementioned ASUS MeMo Pad 8 (ME581CL). Featuring a thinner design with slimmer bezels, the tablets not only mark the first of Intel's 64-bit mobile processors but also one of the first devices to have Intel's LTE modem. All of the tablets utilize the new ASUS ZenUI and as such, should also come with a while bunch of useful apps from time schedulers to a messaging app. The tech specs for the ASUS Fonepad 8 (FE380CG), ASUS MeMo Pad 7 (ME176C) and the aforementioned ASUS MeMo Pad 8 (ME581CL) are listed below:

ASUS recently showed off a teaser trailer video on their Facebook page regarding the next device which will be unveiled on 2 June 2014. This is in line with a pre-Computex 2014 event unveiling which could see a new slate or tablet being announced. The trailer highlights the words "thin" and "incredible" while using a pencil so we assume that it could be a thin tablet with a stylus. Could this be the next ASUS ViVoTab? Other sites are suggesting that it could be the ASUS PadFone X which is a tablet and smartphone combo but we also have not ruled out the recently unveiled Intel 64-bit powered ASUS MeMo Pad 8 which recently got unveiled in Japan. What do you think this "incredible thin" device could be?

ASUS and KDDI Japan recently announced what appears to be the first Android tablet powered by a 64-bit processor. To top it all off, this processor is one of the latest 64-bit Silvermont cores from Intel and the tablet itself is a variation of the ASUS MeMo Pad 8. Now, there is already an ASUS MeMo Pad 8 tablet out in the market, but it is powered by a 1.6Ghz quad-core ARM-based processor. This new one announced for KDDI Japan offers some fairly interesting tech specs which include:
- 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 Moorefield processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB storage + up to 64GB microSDXC
- 8-inch display (1920 x 1200 pixel resolution)
- 5MP rear camera + 1.3MP front camera
- Supports 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, WiMax 2+, NFC
- 305g
- 4530 mAh battery

While the Asus MemoPad 8, MemoPad FHD 10 and FonePad Note 6 were all recently announced they still haven't got their offical Malaysia launching yet, the good folks at Lowyat.net got an interesting leaked image showing off pricing and confirming tech specs. Reconfirming most of what has already been reported on, the Asus MemoPad 8 will have an 8-inch screen, a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, come in black or white and be priced at RM649. The Asus MemoPad FHD 10 on the other hand will have a 10.1-inch screen, a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5MP rear camera, a 1.2MP front camera, come in blue and white and be priced at RM1199.

Asus are really gunning for the tablet market with 2 new releases consisting of the Asus MeMo Pad 8 and the Asus MeMo Pad 10. The MeMo Pad 8 has tech specs which include a 1.6Ghz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB storage, an 8-inch IPS screen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolutions, a 5MP rear camera, a 1.2MP front camera and a 3950 mAh battery. Weighing in at 350g the MeMo Pad 8 can last up to 9 hours worth of 720p HD video playback on normal settings and offers a rounded slate look with narrow bezels. The MeMo Pad 10 features the exact same specs except that it weighs 522g, has a smaller 2MP rear camera, 16GB of storage and a 5070 mAh battery, allowing it to run for 9.5 hours on the same 720p HD video playback. Both use Android 4.2 and are aimed at the budget crowd. Unfortunately, no Malaysia release dates were available at the time and there wasn't any exact pricing news either.

Recently, tech specs for the upcoming Asus FonePad HD 7, MeMo Pad HD 8 and MeMo Pad HD 10 have come to light. The tablets offer what could be the next generation line-up of Asus tablets with the emphasis on the HD for all the devices. This means that all of the devices listed will have a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Other tech specs for the Asus FonePad HD 7, MeMo Pad HD 8 and MeMo Pad HD 10 include:

In recently leaked slides from an Asus presentation it has been revealed that the company may be releasing a number of new devices. These include the Asus PadFone Mini which aims at Asus existing smartphone in a tablet convertible. The name suggests that it will be going for a smaller size, perhaps allowing you to own a compact smartphone and an oversized tablet in one go. Other devices of note include the Asus MeMo Pad HD 8 which looks to bridge the gap between the current 7-inch and 10-inch Asus tablets with an 8-inch tablet. The other interesting device will be theAsus MeMoFone HD 5 which looks to be a standalone 5-inch smartphone. Tech specs for this device include a 720 x 1280 resolution 5-inch display.

Intel seems to be finding its way into more and more devices as ASUS has also revealed it's MeMo Pad FHD 10 tablet which is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel processor. Sporting a 10.1 inch screen other tech specs for the MeMo Pad FHD 10 include:

We were going to write about the rumoured Nexus 7 refresh which was supposedly going to be held here at Computex but ASUS had to go and release some early news about their MeMo Pad HD 7 tablet. Priced at a surprising $129 (RM398) and aimed at "developing markets" like Malaysia, it looks to be the next Nexus 7 killer if it maintains that price when it arrives here. This is because the tech specs for the MeMo Pad HD 7 are listed as:
