Xiaomi recently announced the launch of their Xiaomi Mi 4c smartphone for China. Priced from RMB1299 (RM880) for the version with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, the Mi 4c will also come in a version with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage for RMB1499 (RM1015). Other tech specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 5-inch FHD display, 13MP rear camera with Sony/Samsung sensor and the latest USB Type-C port with quick charge 2.0. The latest feature includes Edge Tap which allows the phone to respond to light taps on the sides. A double tap on one side allows you to go back easily without having to stretch for the Back button, and a single tap on the side while in the camera app snaps a photo. A double tap on the screen wakes the phone. No Malaysia release dates or official Malaysia pricing details yet but the Mi 4c will be available in China on 23 September 2015. In related news, Xiaomi also launched their Mi Mobile MVNO service with two prepaid SIM card offerings. Users have a choice to pay as you go or get a bundle plan with 3GB data. Both plans support 4G LTE and come with a triple-cut SIM card for all sizes.

Xiaomi recently made their latest flagship smartphone, the Mi 4 officialy with a launching in Beijing yesterday. The smartphone may not have a metal backside but it does offer a tough stainless steel frame and very flat and thin Apple iPhone like design. The more notable tech specs for the Xiaomi Mi 4 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 4G LTE and the new Sony MIX214 camera sensor for the 13MP rear camera. What is even more jaw-dropping is that it is priced at just RMB1999 (RM1099) for the 16GB version and RM2499 (RM1299) for the 64GB version. Check out the full Xiaomi Mi 4 tech specs below:

While it had a rather soft landing when it was first announced, Xiaomi Malaysia officially launched today with a bang. On top of news that they will begin selling their Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphone for RM889 and Mi Power Bank for RM36 tomorrow, they also revealed that the Mi 3 will be made available via DiGi, Celcom and Maxis. The current version of the MIUI interface running on the Mi 3 has been revealed to be Android 4.3 with news that the Android 4.4 Kitkat version is coming soon as well. In preparation for the upcoming deluge of Xiaomi users, Xiaomi Malaysia will open 4 service centers in Malaysia, with a centre in Kelantan, Perak, Pulau Pinang and Selangor for now.
