It has been a while since the Redmi Note 15 series was launched in China. But just a few hours ago, Redmi India officially began teasing the global release of the Redmi Note 15 5G. The teaser activity follows early retailer listings in Europe, which suggest that multiple models from the Redmi Note 15 series are preparing to enter global markets.

Today, realme has officially revealed a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title with its upcoming C85 5G phone. The feat — “Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Water-Resistance Test Simultaneously” — was confirmed on 20 November 2025 at the Cilandak Sports Centre in Jakarta. The recognition highlights realme’s ongoing push in waterproof innovation and positions the C85 Series as a major milestone for Malaysian consumers seeking durability without premium price tags.

U Mobile, Malaysia’s second 5G network provider, has officially rolled out its ULTRA5G experience across Bangi, Putrajaya, and Petaling Jaya New Town. Residents and visitors in these townships can now enjoy uninterrupted access to U Mobile’s next-generation 5G network anywhere within these areas, promising faster speeds, lower latency, and enhanced connectivity.

As you should know, U Mobile is Malaysia's second 5G network provider. Recently, the company successfully secured a RM4.3 billion syndicated financing to fund the nationwide deployment of its next-generation 5G network.

According to a written parliamentary reply by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and cited by the Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, U Mobile is required to secure 80% 5G population coverage in its first year of operation, This will increase to 95% by the third year under the company’s Detailed Business Plan (DBP) for Malaysia’s second 5G network.

After the launch in India, the realme 15T 5G has made its way to Malaysia. Priced from RM1199, the new addition to realme’s popular Number Series is now available nationwide via realme Brand Stores, authorised dealers, and online platforms including Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Customers can also get the device through Maxis, U Mobile, and redONE. 

Initially only available with Maxis, the HONOR X9d 5G is now available on more Malaysian telcos such as CelcomDigi, U Mobile, Yes, unifi and redOne. While the phone is still officially available at RM1499 for the version with 256GB storage, some plans are offering the RM1699 512GB storage version for free. Check it out here.

Back in early September 2025, the realme 15T 5G was announced in India, and it will be coming here soon. realme Malaysia has confirmed to launch on 30 October 2025 as the new addition to realme’s popular Number Series mid-range smartphone.

A few hours ago, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil provided new insights into the progress of Malaysia’s second 5G network during a briefing with U Mobile. According to the minister, 5G deployment in Malaysia continues to accelerate, with operators now overlaying the new network infrastructure onto existing 4G infrastructure to achieve faster and more stable connection upgrades.

U Mobile, Malaysia’s newest 5G network provider, has inked a five-year wholesale access agreement with Eastel, a new Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) under Anchor Communications, set to debut in Q1 2026. This landmark partnership marks U Mobile’s first-ever 5G and 4G wholesale deal, paving the way for more collaborative opportunities in Malaysia’s fast-evolving telecommunications sector.
