Xiaomi Malaysia today announced the release of the RedmiBook 15 in Malaysia, making it the first ever laptop by Xiaomi to enter our local market. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by either an 11th-gen Intel i3-1115G4 or i-5-111300H processor alongside 8GB DRR4 RAM.

For the first time ever, Xiaomi Malaysia is actually bringing the RedmiBook 15 into the Malaysian market. Xiaomi laptops have been in the industry for pretty long and it's bizarre to see one of the models finally coming here on 6 June 2022.

Just yesterday, Xiaomi capped off a big event in China with the release of the 15-inch RedmiBook Pro 2022 laptop. During the same event, Xiaomi also launched the Redmi K50, K50 Pro and K40 smartphones, as well as the Redmi Max 100-inch TV.

In recent months, smartphone brands have started to make a variety of products like notebook computers. Xiaomi is one of the companies that's been doing that, launching the Mi Notebook Pro and RedmiBook Pro earlier this year. Now, the company is getting ready to launch more.

One thing you'll notice in recent years is that many smartphone brands are making laptops too. Xiaomi is the same, unveiling its new RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15 in February 2021. Yesterday, the company launched more variants for the two models.

It seems that Xiaomi has recently unveiled the RedmiBook Pro 14 and 15 laptops in China, and it is priced starting from RMB3999 (~RM3129) onwards. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, it does give us a better understanding of what to expect when it is available in the local market.

Some say that Xiaomi is gearing up for a big launch this month, which will see the reveal of the Redmi K40 and Note 10 series. The company is also expected to launch a new RedmiBook Pro laptop at the event. Here's some new info about the laptop.
