Aside from the new 15-inch MacBook Air, Apple also announced a new Mac Studio and Mac Pro with the M2 Max and a brand-new M2 Ultra chip. Like the former, the new Mac Studio and Mac Pro aren't available yet but they come with a starting price of RM 9499.

Apple’s latest desktop computer, the Mac Studio has been hitting the headlines worldwide since its release last week. Well, that's not really a surprise, given how popular Apple is and how impressive the M1 Ultra SoC found inside of the computer is as well. 

However, the Mac Studio is also making headlines for other reasons as well. Speaking of which, the desktop computer is actually trending currently in Malaysia due to the fact that it is actually made in Malaysia!

It seems that someone has gotten Apple’s Mac Studio a bit early as a Geekbench 5 benchmark result of the M1 Ultra found inside the new Mac was posted just hours after it was announced yesterday. Shared by Benchleaks on Twitter, Apple’s latest top-of-the-line SoC showed impressive Single-Threaded and Multi-Threaded scores which surpassed or matched its competitors.

In Multi-Threaded scores, the M1 Ultra scored a staggering 24055 points, surpassing both the Intel Core i9-12900K (17204 points) and the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (16565 points). Furthermore, the latest Apple Silicon also put AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X a run for its money, only losing out in the Multi-Threaded scores by a little over 1000 points or around 4.5%.

As the theme of the Apple Event suggests, the new Mac Studio and Studio Display are indeed on "peek" performance. Among the new products unveiled today, these two new Mac devices are the most overpowered ones and here's what you need to know.

In the last few weeks, there have been rumours of Apple working on a new Mac Pro, iMac Pro, and Mac mini. But that's not the end of it when it comes to new Mac computers in 2022. Allegedly, Apple is also developing a new variant called the Mac Studio.
