It's not every day that you see music artists recording their music videos with a smartphone, well, that's all about to change. Malaysia’s legendary rockstar Amy Search, will be lending his voice to the new Galaxy J Series music video!

While there wasn't any clear big event or device this week, the sheer number of announcements was huge with Vivo announcing their V5 (set for an official announcement in Malaysia next week) along with their X9, X9 Plus and XPlay 5 devices. It wasn't that long ago that the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) came out a few months ago with RM1049, previously in our review, we felt that for a device in that price range, it's lacking behind other smartphones in terms of overall performance and some missing features such as a fingerprint sensor. Then out of nowhere, the Galaxy J7 Prime was released in Malaysia for RM1199 (inclusive of GST), it was as if Samsung read our minds on what we complained about the former, but is it really any better? That's what we're about to find out.

The big news this week included the fact that Maxis finally upped their game with 2x upgrades to their MaxisONE Plan and while they initially said it was RM199, Webe are now offering their unlimited mobile Internet plan for just RM79 apparently for a limited time only. Celcom offered some better Apple iPhone 7 bundles with their new FIRST Gold Plus plan.
