Weekly TechNave: honor V8, Mi Max, Uncharted 4, WeBe 850 and more

This week Huawei unveiled the honor V8 with dual rear cameras, a 2K display version and the latest Kirin 950 tech specs with their RM60 honor Band A1. Xiaomi went big with their 6.44-inch display Mi Max phablet alongside their Mi Band 2 smartband. On the local side, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End launched at midnight while the Tencent QQ Watch for kids was also released. The folks at honor Malaysia also brought in their more premium honor Band SS complete with brass coloured metal body and Italian leather strap.

The Apple iPhone SE officially arrived in Malaysia on the Apple Malaysia Store while the telcos like Celcom, Maxis and U Mobile are offering bundle deals for it as well. WeBe launched their WeBe 850 app and various point getting activities to get a 1-year free data plan, phones and vacations as prizes. In rumours and news, interesting bits include a study saying we won't get brain cancer from mobile phones, an Internet connected Samsung Surfboard while Western Digital acquired SanDisk, cementing their hold on the storage markets. In relation to last week's Intel mobile pull-out, the upcoming ASUS ZenFone 3 is rumoured to have been delayed to August and will use Qualcomm processors, with 3 variants already confirmed.
