Now this is by no means a new rumour, as rumours about a metal body Samsung smartphone have been around since before the Samsung Galaxy S4. What is new, is that the source seems to be coming from mostly South Korean Media who suggest that Samsung may finally be making this move with a premium Project F series of smartphones. These F series smartphones would have metal chassis, feature the latest 64-bit Samsung Exynos chipsets and have the latest Samsung technology such as the ISOCELL mobile camera technology. Tech specs for the smartphones include 4.5-inch to 5.5-inch screen sizes that may see flexible displays and 16MP cameras with optical image stabilization. So far, no other features or information such as Malaysia release dates or pricing are available but rumours indicate that we could see the Samsung Project F smartphones make an appearance in March 2014 which coincides with CES 2014.

While it isn't the first time rumours about a metal body Samsung device have come out, new rumours have popped up stating that the Samsung Galaxy S5 (and perhaps other Samsung models after it) may get a metal body or chassis. Despite the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will likely be released in 2014 for Malaysia, reports are claiming that Samsung may start production on a metal body Samsung Galaxy S5 by the end of the year. According to these reports a sample has already been produced and is being tested in Vietnam. Other tech specs and features for the S5 include a 16MP camera with OIS. Personally, we think that this is just wishful thinking as Samsung have been rumoured to develop metal clad smartphones before and have always declined in fear that it may delay production. Samsung would more likely go for a kevlar casing or other material before metal and we haven't seen any of those just yet either, so take this rumour with a big pinch of salt.

Rumours and leaked images about the Apple iPhone 5S are growing by the day, as people are getting quite excited about Apple's upcoming iPhone despite it being just an 'S' version. Some of the newest rumours to arrive includes one about the Apple iPhone 5S getting an A7 processor chip along with a chip for motion tracking. If this is true, it would mean a much faster iPhone with better graphics while the motion tracking feature sounds like something related to air gestures or non-touch controls. These rumours come courtesy of Clayton Morris, Fox News reporter who tweeted:
“Sources are telling me the new iPhone’s A7 chip is running at about 31 per cent faster than A6. I’m hearing it’s very fast.”
“I’ve also heard there’s a separate chip devoted to motion tracking. Should be an interesting camera upgrade.”[ Read More ] -

Now we've all seen images of the Apple iPhone 5S in champagne gold but it appears that it may have other colour features in the form of a gunmetal casing. While we don't have an actual gunmetal chassis to show you, we do have leaked pics of a gunmetal coloured SIM tray. When inserted into a white Apple iPhone 5S casing it really shows a difference. Gunmetal is generally grey in colour and sometimes comes in brushed metal. We have no idea if this is still aluminum or a different type of metal but with the leaked images of the champagne gold Apple iPhone 5S a gunmetal version is also just as likely. As usual, no details just yet on a release date for Malaysia or pricing but all eyes are looking towards September (we're guessing if no announcement comes next month, all eyes will move on to October and so forth ;).

A number of metallic casings for a Nokia phone have surface recently and while they initially looked like the upcoming Nokia EOS, a closer look reveals that it may not be. While there is a raised camera hump like the Nokia EOS, it looks too small to fit earlier leaks of the Nokia EOS's massive 41MP PureView sensor. Lining up the chassis with a Nokia Lumia on the other hand reveals that metallic chassis could be for the rumoured Nokia Phablet as the chassis is much larger compared to the standard Nokia Lumia size.

While everyone else has practically jumped on the metal body chassis bandwagon after the HTC One's aluminum unibody came out, Samsung have said that they won't be doing the same for their upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III. Recent rumours indicated that Samsung was worried that everyone didn't like their current plastic design and a number of metal chassis Note III renders and supposedly real images surfaced. Unfortunately this is not to be.
