The HTC Incredible S is a worthy heir of HTC Desire. The device boasts a refined design with a slightly convex case.
HTC Incredible S - Start-up time:
The HTC Incredible S takes about 25 seconds to start. Overall, the device benefits from the “fast boot” technology. The smartphone can restart in five short seconds, provided you do not previously remove the battery.
Navigation can be done with greater fluidity and latency is almost non-existent. When loading an application, even when a Web connection is required, it is done almost instantaneously. The Incredible S works well with EDGE or 3G; unfortunately it doesn’t have 4G (LTE) support.[ Read More ] -

LG announced the world’s first smartphone powered by a Nvidia Tegra2 processor. At CES 2011 , several handset makers announced products based on the Tegra2 but this is the first smartphone or super-smart phone to hit the market. Lets see how the device meets our expectations.
LG Optimus 2X - Hardware:
The first thing you would notice about the phone is the huge 4 inch display which has great clarity and color reproduction. The display runs on a 800x480 px resolution. The left and right edges of the display have a minor curve towards the end and its nice to use.
Although the phone is made of plastic for the most part, it does not feel cheap like other phones like the Samsung Galaxy S. The phone is certainly big compared to other devices but since this is the world’s first dual core smartphone, we are not complaining.[ Read More ] -

The Samsung Galaxy Ace comes hot on the heels of the sock-evaporating, super stunning Samsung Galaxy S2. However with a different shape and decidedly down-sized specs, it’s clearly not for the same type of audience. Is it worth a look with the HTC Wildfire S around the corner? Let’s find out.
Samsung Galaxy Ace - Design and build quality:
It’s a plastic, Fisher-Price version of the iPhone 4, with identical curved edges, black bezel and metal bands around the side, plus a clicky home button - though it being Android, you’ll find touch sensitive menu and back buttons on either side of it as well.
We can’t say we’re loving the sense of deja vu the Samsung Galaxy Ace’s case will give you, but it is at least rock solid, with USB and 3.5mm audio ports on the top as they should be, plus a conveniently placed microSD card slot so you can switch out memory without having to pull the battery out.[ Read More ] -

The Motorola Atrix made a splash at CES last month when it was announced. Partly because it’s running on a dual-core 1ghz processor, but it its not just its powerful specs alone that made it impressive. It was its lapdock accessory that made everyone’s head turn. A smartphone that docks into a laptop? That is something new and different.
Motorola Atrix 4G - Design:
With its 4″ display, curved edges and relatively lightweight body which weighs 135 grams, the Atrix feels really nice to hold in your hand. As a matter of fact, the Atrix weighs just a drop less than the iPhone 4, which is amazing considering it’s packing in a dual-core processor. Overall, we find the size and weight to be ideal for our tastes, as we personally find some of the smartphones with 4.3″ displays to be unwieldy for our hands. For starters, while removing the battery cover, we somehow managed to the dent speaker grate located on its bottom back side, and it’s not like we were applying much pressure to it either. Furthermore, the device also tends to heat up – but not so much, that it’s uncomfortable to use.

The Nokia E7 is the successor to Nokia's successful Communicator series which were sliding mobile phone featuring a large screen and spacious QWERTY keyboard. The Communicators were pocket-able devices that provided a near-laptop experience and were popular with professionals who wanted to be able to write, create content and handle a large volume of email on the go.
Nokia E7 - Design:
The way the phone's curves catch the light is quite stunning with a smooth gradation from light to dark that changes as you move the phone. Closed the E7's is a slim metal slab with gently rounded contours and no protrusions to mar the shape. I especially like the way the buttons are highlighted by a slim chrome-like bezel.

The Samsung Galaxy Mini is a recently launched Android phone which is a bit on the small side. While being a budget phone means that plenty of features are left out or they’re not as good as they could be, the S5570 offers a good experience, especially if you’re a beginner with Android, that wants to test the waters before getting a more expensive model.
Samsung Galaxy Mini: OS & Processor
Galaxy Mini’s OS is Android 2.2 Froyo and the processor installed on it is a 600MHz model, which isn’t much when you compare it with the 1GHz that most phones come with these days, but it does its job well enough for daily use.

Samsung Ch@t 350 (Samsung Chat C3500) is a fairly recent model brought out by Samsung, one of the series of phones that combines both touch screen as well as buttons in the form of a slide out keyboard. What makes this aspect of the phone special, is the fact that many people do not feel comfortable when touch typing, and giving commands through buttons. Repeatedly pressing on the buttons of any phone results in early damage and in some cases even the warranty does not help.
Samsung Ch@t 350: Design & Build
The new Samsung Ch@t 350 has features that make the model comfortable and unique, especially for teenagers. The capacitive touch screen display allows the user to type or give out commands using the touch interaction system. Whereas the slide out keyboard gives the user a second option to simply type out the message using a normal keyboard, in case they are not comfortable using the touch system. This aspect makes the phone ideal, since it appeals to two kinds of people.

The Nokia X2-01 looks nothing like the original X2, although they have the same version of Symbian Operating System. As I said before, the build quality of this phone is pretty good, the way the phone is shaped makes it quite easy to hold in the hands, but it may be a little too big and bulky for some people!
Nokia X2-01: Design & Build
The Nokia X2-01 is clad in dark gray plastic with a glossy black front bezel; for now, that's the only color choice. The X2-01 measures 4.7 by 2.4 by 0.6 inches (HWD) and weighs 3.8 ounces. It's not the slimmest device on the market, but it looks fine next to a BlackBerry Curve, and that's good company to be in for a prepaid phone. Six function keys bracket a five-way control pad with a pronounced plastic ridge. Typing on the four-row QWERTY keyboard was a little stiff, but the slightly bubbled keys are roomy and well-arranged.

The Samsung Google Nexus S is a consumer-friendly smartphone that runs on the latest Android operating system 2.3 Gingerbread. Attractive, lightweight and packed with features, the Samsung Google Nexus S is not quite an ‘iPhone-killer’, but nonetheless gives it a pretty good mauling.
Samsung Google Nexus S - Features:
Boasting a 1GHz Cortex A8 application processor, a 5-megapixel camera with inbuilt flash, a 4in Super AMOLED touch screen and a dedicated GPU, the Google Nexus S is suitably well-equipped for today's mobile lifestyle.
Other highlights include the ability to turn your phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot, VoIP/SIP support, Google Maps 5.0 with Navigation and a 3-axis gyroscopic sensor that can be used for gaming. On the downside, its browser could be a bit speedier, and the lack of expandable memory may see you filling up its 16GB flash drive fast.[ Read More ]
