Before the end of the year 2024, Google Play lists the 9 best game titles for Android devices including those that can be installed into PCs offered on the Google Play store for 2024. That said, what should you know about it?

The Epic Games lawsuit ended with a California judge ordering Google to open the Play Store to third parties for three years. Under this directive, the Play Store would have to offer competing apps from stores like the Epic Games Store. At the same time, these third-party stores would have to be given access to all the apps that exist in the Play Store.

In case you didn’t know, Google Play Games PC is a PC gaming platform by Google. As of now, there are over 3000 games on offer. The platform also supports Play Pass for subscribers and Play Points for supported countries.

Google Play Games for PC beta was announced earlier this year but finally, towards the end of 2022 - the Google Play Games beta is now available for download. All mobile players in Malaysia alongside the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, and Singapore can now visit the beta website and check it out here. 

Earlier this year, we reported on how Google launched the Google Play Games for PC which as the name would suggest, allows users to play Android mobile games on Windows PC. Fast forward some 8 months later, the platform is still in beta but with some improvements, including being available in more regions as well as requiring a lot less demanding PC specs to run.

Google is reportedly working on integrating its game streaming service Stadia with its search engine. According to the source, the tech giant wants to allow users to directly power on games from the search results, making it less of a hassle to look for them again on the gaming platform.

Have you ever wanted to play certain mobile games on PC? You could do that with emulators, but they can sometimes be buggy and resource hogs. Fortunately, Google has been working on bringing Android games to PC, and now have something to show users.

Yikes, 47 mobile game apps have been reported to be malicious and they are still on the Google Play Store. The latest finding was done by Avast alongside Apklab.io and although Google is investigating this, it may be too late for those who have downloaded the app. 

Finally, after a super long overdue - Fortnite has officially made its way to the Google Play Store. Prior to that, mobile gamers needed to go to the Epic Games website and download the APK installer, third-party platforms, or even some "exclusives" such as Samsung Galaxy and HONOR smartphones. Well, looks like fans can have a breather now.
