It is suggested that the brand is bringing the global variant of V40, Magic 3, and Magic X. Today, the news has been confirmed by the CEO Zhao Ming and he said that the upcoming Magic series will also surpass HUAWEI's Mate and P series.

Last November, Huawei have officially sold off the HONOR brand and will not hold any shares. Today, we found a new device appearing online which is the HONOR V40 Light Luxury Edition and the design looks similar to the Huawei nova 8 series from the back.

The news of HUAWEI selling HONOR might have been one of the biggest news in the tech industry this year. HONOR was under HUAWEI as a sub-brand for almost seven years starting from 2013 but the relationship has eventually come to an end. Today, the founder of HUAWEI Ren Zhengfei has spoken regarding the departure by hoping HONOR to be big enough to rival HUAWEI one day.

It seems that an HONOR smartphone after splitting with Huawei has been spotted on TENAA, which suggests that it might be a rebranded Huawei nova 8 SE, which was unveiled in China not too long ago. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, this gives us a better idea on what to expect when the device is officially unveiled globally.

Previously, we wrote a piece of news that Huawei could have sold off their HONOR brand and the announcement could be made on 20 November 2020. Looks like we don't need to wait any longer because it's now official as reported by Reuters, XDA-Developers and Shenzhen Special Zone Daily (a Chinese newspaper agency).

HUAWEI's in-house operating system (OS) HarmonyOS has been improving and will make its debut sooner or later on mobile devices. Earlier news has reported that some of the current HUAWEI and HONOR smartphones will be able to make the switch by the time when the mobile version of the OS arrives. Now, the list of smartphones has appeared online showing us which of the devices will be eligible for it.

Based on a statement by a user on weibo, it seems that the Huawei nova 8 and the HONOR V40 will be unveiled somewhere around December 2020. While not much is known in regards to the exact tech specs of both the smartphones, our source did include an image which shows that both the smartphones could come with a camera module that looks almost the same.
