The Apple iPhone SE (2017) is one of the surprises we got to know this week, and with the recent announcement of the WWDC 17 that will be held on 5 June 2017, details of it are quite scarce but thanks to some sources online, here are some stuff we know from the internet. 

The Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have already arrived in the US and other select markets. While there are no Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, many are expecting the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to reach us in November 2014, so we still have time to decide which Apple iPhone to get. Following the iPhone lineup in the US, we estimate that for Malaysia there will be the Apple iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. While the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus have yet to arrive in Malaysia, and won't be for another month or so, the Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have both received a price cut at the Malaysia Apple Store. The 16GB version Apple iPhone 5S now starts from RM1999 (previously it was RM2399), while the 32GB version will be priced at RM2199. An 8GB Apple iPhone 5C on the other hand will be priced from RM1499, with no 16GB or 32GB version available at the Malaysia Apple Store. Colours remain the same though, with the iPhone 5S coming in silver, gold and space gray while the iPhone 5C comes in vlue, green, pink, yellow and white. We expect the pricing at Malaysian telcos to go down even further soon, perhaps even for FREE for the Apple iPhone 5S (the iPhone 5C is already free). We also expect the higher-end 16GB and 32GB Apple iPhone 5C and 64GB Apple iPhone 5S smartphones in stock to either get a quick sale or disappear off the shelves quietly.

Starting off the new year with a deal, Celcom are now offering the Apple iPhone 5C from a more affordable price of RM1888 for the basic 16GB version with, in their own words "no strings attached", which means zero contract. This offer is available from 2 January 2014 to 7 January 2014 but is exclusive to online sign ups only. The other Celcom offer involves the HTC Wildfire S, Nokia Lumia 520 and Sony Xperia U, where Celcom is offering these previous generation entry-level smartphones for FREE provided you sign up for a 12 month or 18 month contract. While many are still rather miffed that the C in the Apple iPhone 5C stands for Colour, those who do like a colourful iPhone would probably want some equally colourful iPhone accessories. Looking to make these users happy, Olloclip have come out with a more colourful version of their 3-in-1 clip-on lens. The clip-on lens kit still offers the same macro, fisheye and wide-angle lenses for the close-ups, wider shots and a 180-degree perspective shot add on lens for your iPhone 5C. Priced a bit less at $59.99 (RM197) the Olloclip 3-in-1 lens clip for the Apple iPhone 5C comes in blue, neon green, red, yellow and white. It should be available in January 2014 so keep a watch for it at our MobileMegaMall.com sellers.

Maxis is also announcing their Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C plans under their iValue plans which also include the iValue Simple plan. Unlike the other telcos, Maxis aren't offering that much in terms of monthly rebates but are instead offering the more standard free calls, sms and data quota. DiGi are also offering the Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C but this time aren't really reducing the price of the smartphone but giving more monthly rebates throughout the contract period. Unlike some other telcos, DiGi are offering the two Apple iPhone models under a single 24-month contract but this one has a bit more value where the monthly rebates are concerned. After subtracting the monthly rebates you can see some pretty good prices for both the Apple iPhone 5S and the Apple iPhone 5C. For more details check out the table and links in this article.

Celcom are now offering the Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C after their midnight launch under their Celcom First postpaid plans + mobile internet packages. Subscribers do get the choice to go for either a 12 month or 24 month contract but also have monthly rebates throughout the period of the contract. While the Apple Malaysia store already has the prices for the two Apple iPhones, the Celcom plans are offering the Apple iPhone 5S models at an estimated retail price RM50 lower than those on the Apple Malaysia store. The Celcom Apple iPhone 5C prices are only different for the 32GB iPhone 5C model with an RM40 reduction from the usual price. For more details, check out the table and links in this article.

Celcom looks to be having a midnight Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C launch like usual as they just put out the invite for tonight to be held at the Blue Cube at Sunway Pyramid. As an incentive for those wanting to pick up the latest Apple iPhone under a Celcom subscription, Celcom are offering a number of freebies for the first 100 customers which includes an Apple iPhone case, a Self-repairing screen protector worth RM150 and either an RM500 voucher or Mystery Gift. While the Phone case and screen protector seems obvious the choice of either an RM500 voucher or a Mystery gift indicates that there could be some sort of lucky draw amongst the 100 early-bird subscribers. The event is set to start at 8pm today, so there should be time enough to pick up some supplies and wait for midnight.
