After months of leaks and speculation, Qualcomm has officially confirmed that its next-generation chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, will be revealed on 26 November 2025 in China. This announcement was made via a Weibo post from Qualcomm.

Most PCs are powered by Microsoft Windows, with the majority using Intel CPUs. AMD pulls in at second place, while Qualcomm holds some market share now (estimated 9%) with its Snapdragon X Elite CPUs. But what's interesting is that Qualcomm could enable Android PCs.

As you may know, Qualcomm unveiled two new flagship chipsets at the Snapdragon Summit 2025. Instead of just one successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, there's also a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 now. But wait, that's not enough either because Qualcomm could unveil a third variant in 2026.
