The ASUS ZenFone 3 range of smartphones looks to be getting the complete set as a leaked image of the ZenFone 3 Go was recently revealed. According to sources, the ZenFone 3 Go will have a metal body, front LED flash, dual mics and be powered by a Qualcomm snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB RAM. Other tech specs include a 5-inch 720p display, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera but the main kicker is that it could be priced at about $160 (~RM712).

As ASUS continues to churn out their ASUS ZenFone 3 iterations, rumours from a reliable Mr. Anonymous has appeared stating that we may see the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom and ASUS ZenFone AR in Q1 of 2017. According to this Mr. Anonymous, the ZenFone 3 Zoom will have dual rear cameras with one of them being a telephoto lens with more than the 3x optical zoom that the original ZenFone Zoom had (probably 5x). It will ditch the Hoya lens system though and probably use a Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB to 6GB RAM tech specs.

The big news this week included the fact that Maxis finally upped their game with 2x upgrades to their MaxisONE Plan and while they initially said it was RM199, Webe are now offering their unlimited mobile Internet plan for just RM79 apparently for a limited time only. Celcom offered some better Apple iPhone 7 bundles with their new FIRST Gold Plus plan.

Today, ASUS has announced that they are inviting Malaysia and other selected countries to participate a contest called "Directed By You", inspired by the first crowdsourced ZenFone 3 ad, the Alien and the Dinosaur, the “Directed By You” contest will involve fans submitting short stories that will be assembled into a complete plot for three video ads that will be produced by groups of professional filmmakers and artists and shot entirely using the ZenFone 3.

Without a doubt, this week was the week where Apple rose to the occasion with their new jet black, waterproof, dual camera Apple iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 while the Samsung announced how to replace their recalled Galaxy Note 7 in full disclosure. After its initial launch in China, the Honor 8 has since then been launched in the US and now in Paris for Europe. Featuring the dual rear camera with a colour sensor and monochrome sensor along with a 2.5D glass front and back, the Honor 8 was priced at €399 (RM1814) for the 4GB RAM / 32GB storage version and €499 (RM2269) for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage version. Both will be available in September for Europe, but with the various launches happening, we can't help but wonder when Malaysia's turn will be.
