While the HTC One A9 was released in Malaysia not too long ago, its successor the One X9 is enjoying the spotlight in MWC 2016 and it's reported that it will begin landing in North Asia first, followed by Europe, and the Middle East from the end of this month. Price is not revealed yet.
The full metal device is available in Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold, and Cooper Rose. Journalists are complimenting its solid and sleek design and it weighs quite “heavily” with 170grams even though it's only 8mm thick. It can also record a 4K video, offers a Pro mode with manual controls and one-touch RAW enhancement, and is compatible with the Dot View case. Below are the tech specs:-

Following in the footsteps of the HTC One A9, the HTC One X9 has been officially announced featuring a fairly similar rounded metal body but this time with a plastic band at the top on the back that looks a lot like the Huawei Nexus 6P (which HTC say copied them first) and BoomSound dual front speakers. In any case the HTC One X9 is priced from 2399 CNY (RM1590) which is actually cheaper than the One A9 (2799 CNY) but there are still no Malaysia release dates or pricing details. A Weibo user has found some goodies online revealing not one but 8 new leaked images of the HTC One X9. The device has been in the sea of rumours for quite some time now, but the tech specs certification by TENAA still remains the same from our previous report as well:-

- 16GB internal storage (expandable to 1TB)

The HTC One X9 speculation has been going on for awhile, but we can now confirm that it's pretty much official and coming soon (probably next year). TENAA, a Chinese certification and regulatory authority in China have certified the said product and revealed some tech specs:-
- 2.2 GHz octa-core processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage (expanable to 1TB)
- 153.2×75.9×7.99 mm
- 13MP rear unit and a 5MP front

Just yesterday, we posted a rumour of the unannounced HTC One X9 appearing online with its unofficial tech specs. While it does seem great and all but according to HTC ROM developer @LlanTooFeR (known for providing reliable HTC information), the One X9 tech specs are not what it seems.
In fact, he claimed that the true tech specs are below the One A9. Making it not a high-end phone that we all hoped it to be, but this is what he thinks the X9 could include:-
- Unknown MediaTek processor model
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB storage
- 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels
- 13 MP rear camera and 4 MP UltraPixel front-facing camera
- 3000 mAh battery
