Honor’s president, Zhao Ming has made a post on Weibo.com stating that the Honor Note 10 will be coming very soon. Not only that, he has also stated that the Honor Note 10 was in the works for nearly 2 years which explains the missing Honor Note 9 that was supposed to be released last year.

Last week was crazy busy as Honor started it with a bang and their officially announced Honor Note 8 and Honor 5 Play. Samsung subsequently skipped numbers and officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with their new Gear VR. ASUS soon followed suit with their full range of ASUS ZenFone 3, ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra, ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ASUS ZenFone 3 Max and ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser smartphones along with their ASUS ZenBook 3, ASUS Transformer 3 and ASUS Transformer 3 Pro, all for Malaysia.

The rumoured 2K display smartphone from honor and Huawei has been officially announced as the Honor Note 8. Featuring a 6.6-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution it also packs in the latest Kirin 955 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage for 2299 CNY (RM1394). Increasing storage to 64GB ups the price to 2499 CNY (RM1515) while the 128GB storage version is priced at 2799 CNY (RM1697). No Malaysia release dates yet but it will be available in China from 9 August 2016.

A brand that is no longer mysterious here and abroad, Honor is striding the Android smartphone world with their value-for-money devices that do not skimp in features. The upcoming Honor Note 8 is no different, as it will have a 2K screen for what we expect to be pennies – and we will be seeing it officially this August 1st.

This week we didn't see any big announcements but ASUS Malaysia did announce that their ASUS ZenFone 3 will be coming to Malaysia soon at their Zenvolution event on 6 August 2016. So here's some splashing news, it turns out that the 6.6-inch 2K display honor V8 Max that we reported yesterday only to be half true. So why's that? Well, Honor just released a new teaser a few hours ago revealing the real name - Honor Note 8 and it's rumoured to be unveiled this August.
