Today, Samsung Malaysia Electronics opened its first ever launch of the Galaxy Studio in Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur just around the corner of Lot 10. In the Galaxy Studio, the public will get the chance of experiencing a wide variety of Samsung products, ranging from the Galaxy Note 8, Gear VR to the new Gear 360. However, the Galaxy Studio will only be opened to the public for three months.

On the same day as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ got released in Malaysia last week, Senheng also did their own mini launch + exhibition, letting customers having hands-on experience with the latest devices as well as the Samsung Gear 360 and Gear VR with a Controller.

In case you missed the show last night, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ weren't the only thing Samsung showcased, but so as the new features and add-ons (especially the Samsung DeX, my favourite!). Virtual reality has been promoted here and there this year, you know what it is, as seen in various companies trying to utilise it such as Samsung, HTC, and Sony in Malaysia, but it seems tat VR is starting to slow down according to DigiTimes, with its collection from a few market research firms have noticed that virtual reality and augmented reality products "have been weaker than expected,".

Brought to you by Samsung Malaysia Electronics the roadshow will feature the Galaxy Note 7, Gear Fit2, Gear IconX, Gear 360 and new Gear VR. Last week was crazy busy as Honor started it with a bang and their officially announced Honor Note 8 and Honor 5 Play. Samsung subsequently skipped numbers and officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with their new Gear VR. ASUS soon followed suit with their full range of ASUS ZenFone 3, ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra, ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ASUS ZenFone 3 Max and ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser smartphones along with their ASUS ZenBook 3, ASUS Transformer 3 and ASUS Transformer 3 Pro, all for Malaysia.

Aside from the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Samsung also announced their Samsung Gear VR for the Galaxy Note 7. Powered by Oculus Rift VR, the Gear VR may be made for the Note 7 but it is also backward compatible with other Samsung devices like the Galaxy S7 edge and Galaxy S7. No Malaysia release dates but we expect it to be coupled with the Galaxy Note 7 when it arrives on 19 August 2016.
