As mentioned in our previous reports, the Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have arrived and instead of shuffling back the iPhone 5, it has been discontinued entirely. Strangely enough, the Apple iPhone 4S is still available but only the 8GB version which is currently going for RM1499. Thankfully, the iPhone 4S will be shipped with iOS 7 but since that hasn't come out yet, if you've ordered an Apple iPhone 4S then don't expect it to be shipped to you until after 18 September 2013 (which is the expected launch date for the final version of iOS 7. For more information check out theApple iPhone 4S site.

While it isn't the first time that Apple has made docks for their iPhones, last year's Apple iPhone 5 didn't get one, leading many to believe that Apple had just stopped doing that sort of thing. However, recently Apple has announced docks for their newest Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones. Since the plastic backed iPhone 5C is bigger, the dock for the iPhone 5C is also bigger which means that it only works with the iPhone 5C. The iPhone 5S is identical in shape and size with the iPhone 5 so the iPhone 5S dock can be used with both smartphones. As usual, the docks are white and come with audio out ports so you can attach a speaker if you want. So far there isn't any Malaysia release date or pricing for the docks just yet but they should be available during the Malaysia local launch later on.

The 6-inch Nokia Phablet formerly codenamed as the Bandit and now going by the Nokia Lumia 1520 could be announced on 26 September 2013. In addition to that it may also pack in a 20MP PureView Camera, which could explain the rather larger than normal camera hump on the back. While certain tech specs like camera sensor size and aperture are still unknown, the PureView camera should come with features like Optical Image Stabilization and a Carl Zeiss lens. These two leaked bits of information come courtesy of serial leaker @evleaks who is generally quite accurate about such things, so we'll wait and see for the official announcement in the next week or so. So far, no pricing or Malaysia release dates just yet but it should probably come after the rumoured 26 September 2013 date.

While HTC continues to drum up hype for the next big change in the company, the device that may bring about this change recently may have got it's name confirmed. The rumoured device is supposedly a phablet based on the HTC One's design which many have called the HTC One Max. Serial leaker @evleaks recently tweeted that the formerly codenamed HTC One T6 would indeed be called the HTC One Max, confirming both the name and the existence of the phablet. Tech specs rumoured to be coming with the HTC One Max include a Snapdragon 800 processor, 5.9-inch Super LCD-3 screen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolutions and 2GB of RAM, along with a 3200 mAh battery. No Malaysia release dates or pricing just yet, but it is expected to arrive within September or October 2013.

The next Apple devices to be announced now cover Apple's tablet lineup and rumours about the Apple iPad 5 have cropped up. Now, we've seen quite a few of these pictures and images, but nearly all of them have been blurry or look like the work of a 3D renderer with too much time on his or her hands. These new pics show the Apple iPad 5 being held and are also quite clear to boot. They also seem to confirm that the next Apple iPad 5 will feature an Apple iPad mini-like design, complete with narrower bezels and a slimmer slate like profile. Take a look for yourself below as the new Apple iPad 5 chassis is compared against the current Apple iPad 4.

As mentioned in our Apple iPhone 5S report, the other device to be officially announced is the plastic backplated Apple iPhone 5C. Effectively replacing the Apple iPhone 5, the Apple iPhone 5C has nearly the same hardware and tech specs, including the same dual-core A6 processor and chipset, 4-inch Retina display (1136 x 640) and 8MP iSight camera. The only major hardware differences include a bigger battery, a new FaceTime HD 1.2MP front camera and the aforementioned colourful plastic backplates which come in blue, green, pink, yellow and white (sorry, no black yet). At 9mm and 132g the iPhone 5C is thicker and heavier than the iPhone 5. Other tech specs and features include 100Mbps LTE connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. While it packs in an 8MP iSight camera it probably isn't the same as the one on the Apple iPhone 5S as it has an f/2.4 aperture and only one LED flash.

The Apple iPhone 5S was officially announced recently and culminates after tons of leaked reports, tech specs, features, images and videos already showed up. Strangely enough, most of the leaks are correct and include a massive hardware upgrade such as a new 64-bit A7 chipset and processor along with a fingerprint sensor backed Home button with sapphire crystal. Some new things were revealed though and this includes an 8MP camera sensor that takes larger pixel shots, showing that Apple have also jumped onto the UtraPixel bandwagon. In terms of design, the rumoured gold and grey chassis are true but the overall design remains nearly the same as the Apple iPhone 5. Check out our analysis of the Apple iPhone 5S here.

Most smartphone manufacturers tend to make Mini versions of their flagship smartphones and now with the official announcement of the Sony Xperia Z1, rumours have started about a Sony Xperia Z1 Mini. This includes a render of the front panel for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini and a rumour that the Mini version would be nearly identical with the actual Z1. So far, the only differences in tech specs for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini include a 4.3-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and a smaller 2400 mAh battery. Other tech specs and features like the Snapdragon 800 processor and chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage along with the 20.7MP camera are rumoured to be maintained for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini. While there are still no Malaysia release dates, many are expecting the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini to arrive right before Christmas as that would be the best time for gift-giving (sales) in the year.

Barely a week after being announced, DiGi has already opened up the the pre-registration form for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. While the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date in Malaysia is expected to be 25 September 2013, it is still unclear if DiGi have got exclusive distribution rights or have some other promo waiting in the wings. No pricing was mentioned but we should see details from other telcos and perhaps some pricing details in the next couple of days.
