Based on a statement by Gizmochina.com, it seems that Huawei is expected to unveil a new and improved Huawei Mate X smartphone during MWC 2020 next year. The device is expected to come with several improvements such as a better chipset, a more durable screen and hinge mechanism.

Yesterday, news that the Huawei P40 series would have a March 2020 release surfaced. But that's not the last we're going to hear from Huawei this year. We already know that the Huawei Mate Xs is going to share that same release window, but now we also know that successor to the Mate X will appear in next year's Mobile World Congress, according to TechRadar.

Just in case you missed it, Huawei Malaysia has just recently started their Service Annual Giving Season over the weekend and it will end on 1 January 2020. From their Facebook page, the company will be giving out a complimentary screen protector and application, along with a gift after a completed repair. On the repair, there is also a 20% discount on spare parts.

Initially, when the Huawei Mate 30 series was first available in Malaysia it was only available to only customers who have owned the previous generation Huawei Mate devices. With that said, Huawei has recently announced that their Huawei Mate 30 series, as well as the Huawei Matebook 13, Huawei WiFi Q2 Pro, Huawei Watch GT2, Huawei FreeBuds 3 and the Huawei X Gentle Monster Eyewear will be officially available in Malaysia from 15 November 2019 onwards.

Moments after the Huawei Mate X got its release date, Huawei has also announced the release date for the Huawei Mate Xs which will be on March 2020 next year. The main difference between the X and the Xs model would be that the Xs is equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 990 which come integrated with a 5G modem, while the X variant comes with the Kirin 980 accompanied by the Balong 5000 modem.

After several months of delays, the Huawei Mate X will finally begin shipping in China starting from 15 November 2019 onwards. As for the pricing, the foldable smartphone will be priced from RMB16999(~RM10065) and it will come with tech specs such as the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset accompanied by the Balong 5000 modem, and a 4500mAh dual-cell battery with support for up to 55W fast charging.

This time around there also seems to be an Exclusive Ownership Program for the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro along with a chance for Malaysian app developers to join in to Huawei’s ecosystem. Previously, it was mentioned that developers could quickly and easily convert their Android apps using the Ark Compiler with various advantages in doing so.

Huawei has recently tweeted on their Twitter account that the Huawei Mate 30 series will be launching on the 19 September 2019 in Munich, Germany. Based on previous reports, the upcoming Mate series will be the first series from Huawei to come equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 990 chipset as well as a quad LEICA lens camera setup and more.
