Here's a public service announcement - Maybank just announced that there will be a system maintenance exercise soon. Scheduled on 19 June 2021, all the Maybank ATMs, Self Service Terminals, Maybank2U and Mobile Banking Services will not be available.

Maybank has officially announced on their Facebook page stating that their routine system maintenance that was scheduled to be conducted on 5 May 2021 from 12:00 AM to 12:30 AM will be brought forward to 4 May 2021 from 11:30 PM to 11:59 PM. With that being said, you will be able to make online purchases during any 5.5 online shopping deals from e-commerce websites such as Lazada and Shopee.

Just last night, Maybank announced that Maybank users who make transactions of RM5000 and above will no longer use SMS TAC anymore. This initiative will take effect from 16 February 2021 onwards and the SMS TAC will be replaced by Secure2u.

Update - The services are stable now, you can now resume your transaction on the website and M2U app
Since this morning, it has been reported that both the M2U mobile app and Maybank website are experiencing service interruptions. This is the second time already since the last one about a few days ago but you can still do your transaction business on the MAE app. Wait...why isn't MAE down?

It seems that the Maybank2u website, as well as the Maybank2u app, is currently experiencing technical difficulties which are causing these services to load extremely slow. With that being said, Maybank has mentioned on their Facebook page that those who are keen on performing banking transactions should use the MAE app as it is not affected by the technical difficulties.

Starting from 3 December 2020, Maybank Malaysia will no longer send any SMS notifications to your smartphone. So whenever you make a Debit Card transaction, the notification will be sent to your Maybank2u (or M2U MY) app instead.
