Samsung recently sent out video teasers for it's upcoming Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 event. Set to be held at Madison Square Garden on 12 June 2014, it is expected to be the place where Samsung will reveal it's latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S range, partly because of the line "Tab into Color" that comes up during the teaser video. Tech specs for the range includes a 2K display with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution for 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch AMOLED screens. Other notable tech specs estimated to come with the tablets include octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, an 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera and Android 4.4.2. We're guessing that these tabs will also come in a number of color options, unless of course the teaser line is referring to the AMOLED screens. No news on Malaysia pricing or release dates yet but stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablets have recently been leaked by serial leaker @evleaks. The images look official and show off the new sized tablets nicely. While there aren't any tech specs or features available, the tablets look very thin and sleek while also adopting the same perforated backside, fingerprint scanner and ultra-power saving mode as the Samsung Galaxy S5. There are also 2 round mounts on the backside which we think is for an automatic or interactive flip cover or stand later on. No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing yet, but we should find out soon so stay tuned.

Samsung Mobile has just tweeted an image for their upcoming Samsung Galaxy Premier 2014 with the title "Tab into Color". This hints at a new Galaxy Tab coming soon and with the Galaxy Tab 4 range already well and announced, we're thinking it could be the premium Samsung Galaxy Tab S recently rumoured to appear. Estimated tech specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S include an 8.4-inch display version and a 10.5-inch display version with both displays being AMOLED type screens offering 2K or 2560 x 1600 pixel resolutions. This could point to the hint which says "Tab into Color" as AMOLED screens do tend to have more vibrant colours. Other features that could appear include a built-in fingerprint scanner, Samsung Exynos 5420 processor, hexa-core Mali T628 graphics, 3GB LPDDR3e RAM, 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera. Many are also thinking that other devices could also be showcased as well but it feels a little too early for the Galaxy Note 4 still. Stay tuned for more developments.

After some minor bugs due to the Android 4.3 update, Samsung Galaxy SIII users can now continue their updates as Samsung have announced the updating process to resume. While this is all good news for Samsung Galaxy SIII users in Malaysia as well, the more interesting news is that after the update, you can finally use the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch with the Samsung Galaxy SIII. Do note, some functions which can only be found on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are not available for SIII users even with the update. In related news, Android 4.4 looks to be coming to Samsung users as early as March or April 2014, so stay tuned.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is one of the smartphones recently slated for an official Samsung Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware update and has been seeding for the past 2 weeks. However, there have been a number of problems and issues with the update including bricking the smartphone, making it unstable, and other glitches. Samsung has since stopped the seeding and responded with an official statement:
"As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility."
This means you won't be able to update your Samsung Galaxy S III from KIES or the OTA service for now. No news when Samsung could come out with the update as trouble shooting does take some time. Hopefully, Samsung come out with it soon and make sure that all the kinks have been ironed out this time as a buggy updated version of a buggy update will likely just irritate users even more.

Being able to receive and display television signals on a mobile phone is by no means a new technology, however, it is probably one of the first times we've seen it being implemented by a branded manufacturer like Samsung. - 4GB storage + microSD slot
- 5MP rear camera
- 1500 mAh battery
- Android 4.2.2

It is always interesting to see behind-the-scene shots of how the people who made something truly excellent came to those decisions. That being said, the Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV creators and designers supposedly got their inspiration for it from the stars in the night sky. The HTC One design team on the other hand were aiming for zero-gap construction which resulted in the beautifully elegant aluminum unibody design available from the HTC One. The Apple iPhone 5 was also designed with the idea of making a much better phone than before.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 brings with many new additional features and functions. While NFC isn't new and has been available on the Samsung Galaxy SIII, Samsung recently revealed that the previous programmable NFC sticker TecTiles doesn't work with the Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV. So if you've been using this a lot (and have TecTile stickers all over the place) don't be surprised if your new Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV doesn't seem to work with them. This is because Samsung have released a new TecTiles 2 version. This news isn't such a big thing for Malaysia where not many people actually use it but for the tech savvy it could be the explanation for why your new smartphone isn't working as you well as the previous one.
