The iPhone 16 series has yet to be released but we now have some information about the iPhone 17. Coming from reputable industry analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, he claims that the iPhone 17 series will have a huge RAM upgrade of up to 12GB.

Apple has recently removed the restriction placed on the iPhone 12 series when charging with a Qi2 wireless charger which limited charging to only 7.5W rather than the full 15W. This is after the rolling out of iOS 17.4, which had already removed the restrictions on the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 series in December last year.

These days, the standard storage for smartphones could start from 128GB storage. While it does sound like a lot, the real storage size could be smaller due to pre-loaded apps and iOS. However, Apple might think that is not true. So, what should you know about it?

Last month, a French government agency apparently claimed that the iPhone 12 series had a radiation leak and was forced to slap a ban on the lineup. It was bizarre news for sure and denied by Apple, but at least the company is doing something about it. 

In a few hours after revealing the iPhone 15 series, a government agency (ANFR) from France decided to ban the iPhone 12 due to radiation leaks. According to a Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) test they did, Jean-Noel Barrot, a junior minister said the iPhone 12 has a slightly higher radiation than the legal figure.

iOS 16 finally brought back the iPhone’s battery percentage indicator after a 5-year absence, though it was missing from certain ‘smaller’ iPhones with Face ID during launch simply because there was not enough space. As per tradition, older iPhone models will become cheaper whenever a new iPhone series is announced. However, that's not really the case for the Malaysian market. Due to inflation, the iPhone SE (3rd Gen) apparently got more expensive whereas the iPhone 13 series and iPhone 12 prices only dropped a bit.

Apple has released an iOS update specifically for older devices in order to fix a major vulnerability that was actively being exploited. Called iOS 12.5.6, the update is now available for iPhones, iPod touch and iPads that can’t run on the latest software by Apple.

A judge in Brazil has ordered Apple to compensate ~RM4609 to a customer in Goiânia who recently purchased an iPhone. The Brazilian court found that Apple violated consumer law for the practice, which began with the iPhone 12.

Reliable tipster and reputable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is at it again by spilling the beans on the tech giant’s upcoming devices. This time around, Kuo’s aim is directed towards the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro, whereby the leaker gave an explanation as to why the upcoming device would have a larger camera bump.

According to Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro would have a more prominent rear-camera bump because Apple is upgrading the camera to 48MP. In case you didn’t know, Apple has been featuring only a 12MP sensor on its iPhone cameras throughout the last 7 years, since the iPhone 6s way back in 2015.
