Samsung has confirmed that its tri-fold smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, will be launching in October 2025, with a starting price of around US$3000, which is approximately RM13500.

In the years since foldable smartphones were introduced, these devices have become a new category of expensive, premium devices. Relatively affordable ones do exist, of course, like the nubia Flip 5G (RM2499). But if you want one from a big brand, Samsung could have one in 2025.

For some people, foldable smartphones are cool devices to have. But they're easily the most expensive options on the market. But what if you can get one for a reasonable price? That could be what Samsung aims to do next year with the Galaxy Z FE.

Samsung may be releasing the successor to its foldable smartphones a bit early this year as it is rumoured to be holding its Galaxy Unpacked in the final week of July. The South Korean tech giant is touted to launch the Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Fold5, Galaxy Tab S9 series and Watch 6 during the event. 

Omdia, a global research and advisory group focused on the technology industry recently shared a report regarding the foldable smartphone market in 2021. Unsurprisingly, Samsung dominated the market throughout last year, with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G being the best-selling foldable last year.

In fact, the sales of Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G was head and shoulders above every other foldable, including Samsung’s other foldables. With 4.6 million shipments, the smartphone is responsible for 52% of all foldable sales last year.

It seems that Samsung Malaysia is never out of promotions. In conjunction with the year-end sales, the company is offering a bundle promotion sale for the Samsung Galaxy Z series starting from today onwards until 31 December 2021.

Among all these devices, we are pretty excited to get our hands on the latest Galaxy Z Flip3 5G with a new design language and larger cover display.

Last week, OPPO launched the Reno6 Z in Thailand. But the local launch is also coming soon. In fact, OPPO confirmed that the Reno6 and Reno6 Z would come to Malaysia. And now the official launch date has been confirmed to be 5 August 2021.
