ASUS is proud to announce that their latest tablet - the ZenPad 3S 10 LTE (Z500KL) is already available now for a retail price of RM1799 in Malaysia. This ASUS tablet is the company’s first to include a fingerprint sensor that allows the tablet to be locked or unlocked, and with apps for authentication. There’s also an optional ASUS Z Stylus, which gives a pen-on-paper feel and works with many useful productivity apps. Below are the official specifications:

ASUS have also announced their ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 tablet which really looks to follow in the footsteps of the ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra right down to the DTS X headphone audio tech, dual 5-magnet speakers and flat and thin design with rounded metal frame. It is thin at just 5.8mm and super light at 430g but features a 9.7-inch display with 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution, somewhat similar to the Apple iPad Air 2.

However, it is powered by a hexa-core MediaTek MT8176 processor with 4GB RAM. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but it is going for 379 euros (RM1727). No news yet on why we still haven't seen any new ASUS ZenPad 3S tablets, but perhaps ASUS Malaysia are taking a wait and see approach with their current ASUS ZenFone 3 range.

As per the norm, leaks have appeared before the official announcement, this time about the ASUS ZenPad Z8. Coming courtesy of @evleaks, the ZenPad Z8 looks to be going for a more rectangular look with sharper but still rounded corners, slimmer bezels and dual front speakers. According to him, this ZenPad Z8 is headed for Verizon in the US so no Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet.

The largest and highest specced of the ASUS ZenPad tablets currently available in Malaysia is the ASUS ZenPad 10 Z300CL which features a 10.1-inch display while retaining the same sleek and thin design of the other ZenPad tablets. When we last reviewed the ASUS ZenPad 7.0 Z370CG tablet we were amazed by the modular functionality and sleek design, but a bit less impressed with its stability. The bigger the tablet, the bigger the screen or display and because displays remain the biggest battery drainer on an Android tablet, tablets with bigger displays don't often last that long on a single charge. The ASUS ZenPad 10 Z300CL is the larger 10.1-inch display brother of the ASUS ZenPad tablet series and we recently managed to get some hands-on time with it. Priced at RM1199 the tablet offers a more capable 64-bit Intel Atom processor and 4G LTE. While it doesn't have an interchangeable backplate, it still offers awesome accessories like an Audio Dock and Keyboard, both of which are detachable.
