Another week has gone by, another week of tech news. #Next@Acer Global Press Conference just happened to announce several new laptops for working professionals and gamers, the big four telcos showcased their 5G capabilities in Putrajaya, so did vivo Malaysia but with a futuristic APEX 2019 concept smartphone, and the grand launching of them all, the new Samsung Galaxy A80 which has a motorized sliding rotating triple camera setup!

What's up, fam? This week has gone by and it was rather a quiet week. Or should I say, it's a Huawei week? Huawei Malaysia has officially announced the price on the P30 Series, Matebook 13, Watch GT Active and Elegant models for the local market and tons of freebies too which you can read over here. Besides that, Xiaomi Malaysia has also officially announced the Mi 9 price tag, as well as the Black Shark 2 swimming its way to Malaysia shores. 

What a hectic week, as we mentioned from our previous Newsbytes, there were several new smartphones launches over the past two weeks and the biggest highlight is obviously the Huawei P30 Series, which has a crazy zoom in feature that can go up to 50x with the P30 Pro, whereas the P30 can go up to 30x. Kaspersky Lab has introduced free ransomware decryptors for both businesses and individuals can use. To those of you unfamiliar, ransomware is a type of malware that takes over your files and holds them “hostage” until you pay a sum of money to have them released. This has actually happened to a large company in our own shores quite recently and Kaspersky has taken initiative to stop this from happening again with this decryptor.
