OPPO has recently released a short 15-second teaser on their Weibo account, showcasing their new upcoming under-display camera technology. The teaser video showed us a quick rundown of the various methods used by OPPO, in order to incorporate the front-facing selfie camera into the front of their smartphones.

A few days ago on Twitter, OPPO themselves showcased what they have been working on back in China by recording a short clip of an under-display selfie camera. That's truly exciting and it gets better, the company has announced that they will at the MWC 2019 Shanghai and very likely to show off this new technology.

So how is the smartphone industry doing so far in 2019? Well, Canalys, an independent data analyst company from Singapore with branches worldwide, has released a new Smartphone Market Pulse report on the Indian smartphone shipments and annual growth, including smartphone brand players such as Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, OPPO and Realme.

You already have seen the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Huawei Mate X, and some concept foldable phones such as the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, Apple iPhone Z, Motorola RAZR, and even a foldable PC by Lenovo. We now welcome the latest rumour from OPPO coming up with its own prototype.

It looks like notches and cutout display will be a thing of the past. OPPO took to Twitter to show off their prototype of what could be the first working notchless under-display selfie camera in the world.

OPPO has possibly discovered a new way of removing notches or cutouts from their displays altogether. No, it is not a pop up or rotating camera. Popular leaker, Ben Geskin shared on Twitter that OPPO has found a way to implement under-display cameras and may be able to launch the device this year.

Today at MWC 2019 which is located in Barcelona, Spain. OPPO has officially unveiled the 10x Lossless Zoom Technology as well as their first 5G smartphone. Aforementioned technology uses three different camera sensors, which includes a super wide-angle camera, a 48MP camera as well as a telephoto camera to achieve up to 10 times magnification. Not only that, they have managed to incorporate this technology into a smartphone without adding additional thickness to it.
