Late last night, the Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia posted that we could apparently get a faster COVID-19 vaccine appointment on the MySejahtera app. On the contrary, the same Facebook page also quickly debunked the post by saying it's fake news, saying there's no such thing as an appointment shortcut.

The MCMC Minister Saifuddin Abdullah has recently released a statement hinting that the MySejahtera App, which is currently being used by more than 25 million Malaysians will most likely become a Super App in the future. With that in mind, the upcoming Super App will have various features including e-finance, education, delivery, and many more.

Starting from today onwards, it will be possible to help your parents and children above the age of 18 register for the COVID-19 on the MySejahtera app starting from 19 March 2021. In order to do so, all you need to do is head into the MySejahtera App and follow the necessary steps in order to have your family registered.

Based on a statement by Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, it seems that roughly 1.4 million Malaysians who registered for the COVID-19 vaccine did not provide additional information about themselves other than confirming their identity via NRIC. Citizens who did not provide the app with the necessary information might end up needing to get the vaccine at a later date, as some of the information might be required in order to set up an appointment.

A few weeks back, the Ministry of Health announced that the MySejahtera app will be getting a notable update. It will allow users to register for COVID-19 vaccination and receive notifications when the time comes. This update is now officially available on iOS and soon on Android.

It seems that Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has recently announced that it will be possible to sign up for the Covid-19 vaccination via the MySejahtera app found on your iOS or Android application very soon. Those who have been Covid-19 vaccinated are encouraged to send a report via the MySejahtera app, should there be any side effects from it.
