When Apple refreshed the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13 with the M2 SoC last year, it was met with controversy after the SSD speeds of the base variants were found to be much slower than the M1 equivalents. Well, the tech giant has been found doing the same thing again, this time with the recently released M2 Mac Mini and M2 MacBook Pro models.

Apple has officially announced the release of their Apple MacBook Pro laptops powered by their new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. On top of the M2 powered 13-inch display version, Apple is now including M2 Pro and M2 Max powered 14-inch and 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display variants as well with pricing starting from RM8799.

Despite it only being October, it looks like Apple has already finished with its product releases for the year and will only be launching new products in 2023. This is according to reliable tipster Mark Gurman who also revealed that Apple will be releasing M2-based MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch laptops in the first quarter of 2023.

If you have been eyeing the new Apple MacBook Pro 13" with the M2, you might want to hold off this model. According to sources, the M2 variant has a slower SSD transfer speed than the M1 variant. But how slow are we talking here?

Apple has recently announced the MacBook Air, MacBook Mini, as well as the MacBook Pro, starting from the price of RM4399, RM2999, and RM5599 respectively. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, we can expect Apple to release all the aforementioned devices somewhere within a month or two after the unveiling.
