As a reminder, we reported about the RM100 e-Tunai redemption back in October and it's coming real soon. Our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed the distribution date and it shall begin on 4 December 2023 and until 20 February 2024.

Back in July, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced an RM100 e-Tunai or eWallet aid to 10 million adult Malaysians. Fast forward to today, the government finally revealed when the eWallet credit would be distributed: December 2023.

Previously, we reported on the new initiative by the Federal Government which would provide RM100 of e-Tunai or e-Wallet credits to Malaysians earning less than RM100000 annually. Now, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) has commented on the initiative, saying that it is ready to expedite the e-Tunai's rollout.

Out of the three companies that are included in the e-Tunai Rakyat initiative, Touch 'n Go probably had the most people redeeming their RM30 through it yesterday, if the servers going down were any indication. To cash in on the hype and perhaps make up for yesterday, Touch 'n Go has announced new promotions for its e-wallet service.

E-Wallets offered by Touch ‘n Go, Grab, as well as Boost started giving out the RM30 E-Tunai Rakyat from today onwards until 14 March 2020. Malaysians who earn below RM100000 a year and are above 18 years old, will be able to claim the RM30 from one of the platforms mentioned.
