Huawei has confirmed at the Huawei Developer Conference, that several Huawei and Honor devices will be among the first to get the new EMUI 10 update by as early as 8 September 2019. These devices include the Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei Mate 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Huawei Mate 20 X, and the Honor View 20.

When the HONOR View20 was globally announced last week in Paris, it quickly made its way to Malaysia on 26 January 2019 and quickly proved to be one of the fan favourites. According to HONOR Malaysia, more than 1000 units were sold during the roadshow in 1 Utama due to the fact that the starting price of the flagship is RM1999 only for the 6GB + 128GB model.

26th of January is the day the HONOR View20 will be hitting Malaysian markets which is only mere days away after its launch in Paris. To celebrate, HONOR will be having their largest roadshow yet at the Ground Floor of High Street in 1 Utama Shopping Center starting from 9.30AM. Early birds will be eligible to receive over RM700 worth of goodies.

Back in October 2018, it was announced that the HONOR View10, HONOR 10 and HONOR Play were entering EMUI 9.0 beta test. Users of the said devices were also invited to participate in the test and after two long months, the latest EMUI 9.0 operating system is ready to roll out in Malaysia.

The EMUI 9.0 beta test is already available to download and users who are interested can register for the software (link below). 

Huawei teases that the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 Pro will be coming with a larger battery than its predecessor. According to the image courtesy of pocket-link.com, the battery of the upcoming Huawei device will be larger than 4000mAh. Paired up with the upcoming Huawei In-house processor, the HiSilicone Kirin 980 chipset featuring the Neural Processing Unit, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro will see a huge improvement in terms of battery life, comfortably pushing the usage per charge to more than a or two day assuming my theories are correct.

OpenKirin is a project to bring stock Android ROMs as well as other ROMs such as the LineageOS, Resurrection Remix OS, and CarbonOS into the Huawei and Honor ecosystem. As for now, the project currently supports 17 phones and tablets that are running the EMUI 8, notably the Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and the Honor View 10.
