After launching the Redmi Note 14 Series in China in September last year, the popular smartphone series is finally making its way to the global market. Officially set for a global release next week, read on to learn more.

Besides releasing the Redmi K80 Series and Redmi Watch 5 yesterday in China, the Xiaomi subsidiary also launched new earbuds, the Redmi Buds 6 Pro. Featuring some compelling specs and features for the price, read on to learn more about the new audio device.

Xiaomi recently updated the Support Policy page on its official website to include a list of devices that it will no longer maintain software updates. This end of support (EOS) list entails a whopping 70 devices, with the most recent smartphone in the list being the Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE.

Furthermore, the products on the list include Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones, with POCO phones to be added in the future when their promised updates have reached its end. Xiaomi said that it will no longer maintain any software or firmware updates - including security updates - for the products included in the list.

After announcing the price of Mi 11 Lite for the local market, Xiaomi went on to announce the price of the Mi 11 Ultra tonight alongside the other products including Redmi Note 10 Pro Mi Fan Festival Special Edition and Mi Smart Band 6. The Mi 11 Ultra will start taking pre-orders from 8 April while the special edition Redmi Note 10 Pro and Mi Smart Band 6 will have the first sale on 6 April and 25 April respectively.

Starting from 16 November 2018 onwards, Xiaomi will be the first brand in Malaysia to offer e-SIM by Durian Man app starting from a low as RM1. The e-SIM allows the device to function even without a physical SIM. Not only that, it reduces the overall cost needed to manufacture the SIM as well.

Prior to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro's official release, there weren't many details on the smartphone but it showed up in Thailand. Coming in black, blue, red and rose gold, this mid-range device cost 6990 baht which is around ~RM893 after a direct conversion.

Leaked images of the Redmi Note 6 Pro have surfaced courtesy of the Xiaomi Subreddit of reddit.com showcasing partial tech specs of the device such as a 20MP + 2MP selfie camera, 12MP + 5MP rear camera, 6.26-inch display and lastly a 4000mAh non-removable battery. Seeing as how it is a 19:9 aspect ratio display, the device could have a display notch at the top. In terms of memory configuration, the box image shows that this is a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant.

Previously, not only did Xiaomi released some official teasers about the Redmi 6 Pro but it seems that it's already live on their official website, showing off the full specifications along with a Mi Pad 4 and both of these products are launched in China for now. Few days before the official release of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, official press renders has been revealed in their official Weibo page. Based on the renders, it is confirmed that the Redmi 6 Pro is confirmed to come with a notch at the top of the display as well as a 19:9 aspect ratio 5.84-inch screen.
