You might not be aware but Acer has been exploring ways to launch its products in a sustainable manner. In its latest initiative, the company actually launched a new electric scooter in India. Called the MUVI 125 4G, it was manufactured by Think Ebikego which is an EV startup company in Mumbai but licensed by Acer.

Today, a new brand has entered the Malaysian market with a lineup of advanced smart electric scooters. Named Blueshark, a subsidiary of Sharkgulf Technologies Group, the company officially unveiled the Blueshark R series comprising the R1 and R1 Lite. 

The Transport Ministry (MOT) has announced that the guidelines on the Micromobility Vehicle Route Plan have been finalised. Its Deputy Minister, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said that the plan details the development and design of routes for micromobility vehicles such as e-scooters, mopeds, personal mobility devices (PMD) and personal mobility aids (PMA) and others.

Today, the Ministry of Transport Malaysia just released a statement about the usage of micro-mobility vehicles. It appears that certain micro-mobility vehicles such as electric scooters are already banned on the road.

Late last year, PDRM looked into banning e-scooters from the roads in Malaysia. While it's not a full ban of e-scooters, the authorities confirmed that you can only use them in gazetted areas. Of course, some stubborn users refuse to comply, and the government is ready to start taking legal action.

It looks like Apple and Hyundai are back working with each other again for something that is not an electric car. Sources are claiming that the two are now shifting their focus to manufacturing electric scooter which has features that most of us would like to have.

Besides the Xiaomi Mi 11 announcement, Xiaomi also showcased the latest Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2. Surprisingly, it's not just another upgraded version of the original scooter but this time, it's a collaboration with Mercedes and Petronas. The official name - Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition.
