Before Nokia announced that it was throwing in the towel on its own smartphone OS efforts and instead putting its faith in Microsoft’s fledging Window Phone 7 platform, HTC was perhaps Microsoft’s best buddy when it came to Windows Phone hardware. Along with the Trophy and HD7, the Mozart was one of three handsets that HTC introduced launch of Windows Phone 7.
HTC 7 Mozart - Hardware:The HTC 7 Mozart, then, takes its core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor, and pairs it with 8GB of flash storage (there’s no microSD card slot, remember), 512MB of RAM and 576MB of ROM, a 3.7-inch WVGA LCD TFT capacitive touchscreen and 900/2100 dual-band UMTS/HSPA. HTC are positioning the Mozart as their audio-centric device, among the HD7 and the 7 Trophy, but in actual fact it’s the photography-biased model. On the back is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with a Xenon flash, as opposed to the 5-megapixels and LED flashes of its counterparts.

The HTC HD7 is one of the best from the first batch of Windows Phone 7 smartphones and it features a large 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD display. The HD7 feels a bit heavier but some people would prefer its square form factor and metal-like look.
HTC HD7 - Hardware:
The HD7′s hardware is strikingly similar to that of the HTC Desire HD we reviewed earlier. Dominating the phone is a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, with minimal bezel and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with dual-LED flash on the back. Inside is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 chip, the same as all the other first-wave Windows Phone 7 devices, paired with 576MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM and 16GB of flash storage (courtesy of an internal microSD card not intended for user-replacement). Again, there’s no user-expandable storage option.[ Read More ] -

The Samsung Galaxy Tab runs Android 2.2 and is clearly fashioned to be an iPad rival but in a smaller form factor. Measuring 190 x 120 x 12mm, compared to the Apple tablet’s 243 x 190 x 13mm dimensions, it’s about three quarters the size of an iPad. But the obvious trade-off is the 7in screen compared to 10in from Apple.

The new generation touch and type mobile phones are rightly worthy of being labelled as the new avatars of the Symbian S40 operating system. With the unique and quite intuitive touch and type interface, these are getting a lot of popularity amongst users throughout the country and across the globe.
While touchscreens are better for navigation, keys are definitely good when it comes to typing messages. The freedom it brings to the users, to enjoy the benefits of both a touchscreen and keys of the phone, is probably the biggest reasons behind its growing popularity.Nokia X3-02: Design & Build
The Nokia X3-02 looks great and gets full marks on this front. It manages to grab maximum eyeballs the moment it comes out from the pocket. The slim profile and sharp but human friendly edges give it a sophisticated and a rich appearance. Even, while holding it in the hand, the phone feels good and gives a good grip to the user.
The placement of the keys and the touchscreen is perfect, letting you to type in one or in two hands quite comfortably. So in a nutshell, the X3-02 looks great and feels great too so full marks here.[ Read More ] -

Also known as Samsung i5500 Corby Smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Europa, Samsung Galaxy 550
Samsung Galaxy 5 shouldn’t be confused with Samsung Galaxy S which is a high end flag ship model from the Korean electronics giant. Galaxy 5 is an entry level smartphone and it is one of the cheapest Android phones in the market. The low price doesn’t necessarily mean that the phone has compromised on a lot of features.
Samsung Galaxy 5: Design
The Galaxy 5 has a rounded, distinctive design with curved back. This makes it easy and comfortable to hold the phone in the hand but when you put it on a flat surface, the handset rocks from one side to the other. I liked the finish of the phone, it is attractive and glossy and has chrome edging. However, the glossy finish also attracts a lot of fingerprints easily and this won’t go well with hygiene freaks who love to keep their gadgets clean.

In this day and age, having a 3G connection on your smartphone shouldn’t really be a selling feature. It should be a given, like saying that your smartphone has the ability to update Twitter or organize your schedule. Even so, it seems that one of the primary selling points of the new BlackBerry Curve 9300 is exactly that, since it is also marketed as the BlackBerry Curve 3G.
BlackBerry Curve 9300 - Features and Specifications:As a Curve, the BlackBerry 9300 is a very clear step down from even older devices like the BlackBerry Bold 9700. The price reflects that, but be prepared to make some sacrifices. For instance, it only has a 2.0-megapixel camera and that doesn’t even come with flash. There’s just 256MB of internal memory, but you can expand that with the included microSD memory card slot. The rest of the specs are better than some Curves from the past though.

The Nokia C6 has been around for some time now, its Nokia's mid range smart phone which is almost identical to the N97 mini, which was previously a part of its high end segment. The Nokia C series consists of their more affordable range of phones that do well for the masses and are not short of features too. In other words, its like the "VFM" series they got. The Nokia C6, C6-01 and the C7 are the high end models of the C series, all having pretty different features and have their won style.
Nokia C6 - Design and Build:
The Phone looks almost identical to the 5800XM when the keyboard is hidden, in fact, the C6 is basically a 5800XM with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and an upgraded camera. The Keyboard is actually nice, has a good feel to it. The backlight is also nice, but there seems to be a glitch, at times the keys dont get illuminated or take a few seconds to turn on, but no major issue. When the keyboard slides out, it does not make an angle like the N97 mini and just slides out straight. On one side of the phone, you have your volume control buttons, a switch for the screen lock and camera button, all pretty nowmal, nothing great. Overall, the phone feels solid and very well built.[ Read More ]
