Every Malaysian can now purchase it at every Huawei Concept Stores, authorized resellers, major Telco companies, as well as their own website here with the recent purchase option added starting on 28 July 2018.

Yesterday, we reported that the Huawei Nova 3 will be a mid-range smartphone with a quad-camera setup. It's also scheduled to be released in China on 18 July 2018 and it seems that Huawei might not be reveal just one device, but actually two of them with one carrying a Kirin 970 processor.

According to inside sources, Huawei has claimed that the HiSilicon Kirin 1020 chipset is about 2 times as fast as the HiSilicon 970 chipset present in plenty of Huawei’s smartphones, such as the Huawei P20 Pro, Honor 10, as well as the Huawei Mate RS just to name a few.

Well, sorry to get your hopes up TechNavers and Huawei Mate 9 or Mate 9 Pro users, but it appears that GSMArena and its source goofed. Huawei Malaysia just came out with a statement confirming the rollout of EMUI 8.0 to the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro but they also confirmed that NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit) driven features like Instant Image Recognition, Translator and Easy Projection are only available for Kirin 970 equipped devices like the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. Be that as it may, the EMUI 8.0 update for Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro will improve battery life and increase the machine learning capabilities of these smartphones amongst other features.

Huawei officially announced their flagship Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro smartphones today with mostly NPU (Neural-network Processing Unit) assisted features for 599 euros (~RM2986) and 699 euros (~RM3484). The Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design was also revealed for 1499 euros (~RM7473). No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, but we expect it to be lower than the pricing above (as Malaysian pricing has generally been lower than European pricing), with the first 2 coming to Malaysia soon.

Huawei Malaysia revealed a bit more on their Huawei Kirin 970 processor which comes with support for 4.5G LTE (Cat 18), an Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) dedicated Neural-network Processing Unit (NPU) and built using the more energy efficient 10nm fabrication process. Confirming our previous guesses, the Kirin 970 will improve performance and battery life.

After weeks of teasing, Huawei have finally made their 10nm fabricated Kirin 970 chipset official. Featuring an octa-core processor (4 x 2.4GHz A73 cores + 4 x 1.8GHz A53 cores) that will be utilized in the upcoming Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro set for a reveal on 16 October 2017.
