Communications Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching revealed that contractors that are slow in constructing telecommunications tower projects under the National Digital Network Plan (JENDELA) have been given a deadline of 31 December to finish construction. She added that should they fail to meet the deadlines specified in the Notification of Approval could face punitive measures.

Local Government Development Ministry (KPKT) Minister has announced that a total of 1488 residents of the People’s Housing Project (PPR) Taman Bagan Jaya will get free 30Mbps internet access for a 9-month period beginning this February. Its Minister, Nga Kor Ming asserted that this initiative is under the Jendela@PPR programme which will overall benefit 30 PPR projects nationwide.

Terengganu Infrastructure, Public Facilities, Utilities and Technology Committee chairman, Dr Mamad Puteh has announced that the state will have 66 new telecommunications towers operational next year under the National Digital Network Plan (JENDELA). Furthermore, the state’s 4G coverage in populated areas are also expected to increase to 97.26 percent by the end of this year.

On top of that, they may also submit a report on how each telco's mobile service performs in a particular area. Today, a new JENDELA app is now available on the Google Play and Apple App Store.
