According to Bloomberg, Apple is currently said to be testing OLED screens on the MacBook Air, iPad Air and even the iPad Mini. That said, what should you know about it?

The M4 Mac mini was revealed not too long ago and has yet to arrive in Malaysia. It is also much smaller than its predecessor. However, there is one tiny design caveat — the power button is located right below the back of the machine.

Just right after the announcement of the M4 iMac yesterday, Apple decided to announce the new M4 and M4 Pro Mac mini. Starting at just RM2,499 with 16GB of memory, the new Mac mini is coming soon to Malaysia.

Previously, we reported that Apple could have another event for the new Macs and iPads at the end of October. However, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg said otherwise, although the alleged date is not that far from our speculation.

Despite their small sizes, mini PCs can be powerhouses in compact form. Among them is the Mac mini, a macOS-based mini PC powered by Apple's M-series SoCs. The company unveiled its M2-powered model earlier this year, but a successor could already be in development.

Besides the MacBook Pro, the new Mac mini is also now available on the Apple Malaysia website store online. To refresh your memory, the starting price is RM2499 and there are three different models to choose from for the Malaysian market.

When Apple refreshed the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13 with the M2 SoC last year, it was met with controversy after the SSD speeds of the base variants were found to be much slower than the M1 equivalents. Well, the tech giant has been found doing the same thing again, this time with the recently released M2 Mac Mini and M2 MacBook Pro models.

Aside from their M2 Pro and M2 Max powered MacBook Pro laptops, Apple has officially announced the release of their new Apple Mac mini desktops. However, these devices will be powered by the M2 and M2 Pro only with no mention of any M2 Max variant just yet. Prices start from RM2499.

Apple may move away from mini-LED displays for its future iPads and MacBooks lineups and opt for OLED displays instead. This is according to industry sources which claim that demand for mini-LED suppliers is shrinking due to Apple’s alleged move.   

After the surprise drop of new iPads, Apple might have another one for us before the year ends. The latest report suggests the company is gearing up to launch new MacBook Pro models and Mac mini PC next month.
