Earlier today, Acer has officially announced the new lineup of Concept D electronic devices consisting of laptops, desktops as well as creator-focused monitors starting from the price of RM3399. To go into more detail, Concept D is marketed towards content creators such as video editors, graphic designers, illustrators who frequently rely on the performance of the hardware they are using to run various software from Adobe, Autodesk and so on.

During the Next@Acer launch event in Germany, Acer has launched several laptops such as the Triton series, Swift series, Chromebooks, as well as ConceptD Pro laptops. But that’s not all, also unveiled the Acer Predator Thronos Air gaming chair as well, which offers the most immersive gaming experience who games on it.

In conjunction with the Acer Day 2019 with the theme 'Freedom to Play', Acer has officially launched the 2019 refresh of the Acer Aspire 3 and Acer Aspire 5 laptops. Other than that, Acer has also unveiled the Acer PM161Q portable display starting from as low as RM599.

So a lot of things happened this week. First, there was Computex 2019 with ASUS showing a wide range of products - a new ZenFone 6 Edition 30, ZenBook Edition 30 laptop and a Prime X299 Edition 30 motherboard for its 30th Anniversary, a ZenBook Pro Duo with two functioning 4K touchscreens, new VivoBook S14 and S15 with a 5.65-inch ScreenPad 2.0 display, two new portable monitors (ZenScreen Touch and ROG Strix XG17), ROG Swift gaming monitor, a new Glacier Blue skin for ROG gaming laptops in the near future, and many more.

Our Prime Minister voiced out on the matter, saying Malaysia will still use Huawei technology; Huawei has also prepared to file a lawsuit against the US Government for bullying, a number of Malaysian restaurants are showing support for Huawei smartphone users, and for some reason, the Mate 20 Pro is back on the Android Q beta program. 

And on other news, Apple Malaysia has just announced a new iPod touch with AR capability coming soon to Malaysia from RM899, Pokemon Masters is also set to be released on our mobile devices this year, and finally, OPPO Reno 10X Zoom was announced for RM3399 (which to be honest, is kinda expensive comparing with the Xiaomi Mi 9 for having similar tech specs minus the 60x zoom feature for just RM1699, now you tell me which one makes more sense). 

Beyond Esports from Thailand, has emerged as the champions of a tournament called TECS featuring Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which was hosted in Penang over the weekend. The champions will be bringing home the grand prize of up to RM20000, the first runner up as well as joint 3rd and 4th place won themselves RM10000 and RM6000 respectively.

Mike Grzesiek, known more commonly by his alias “Shroud” is the global official brand ambassador of Acer as of today. The collaboration between the two aims to ‘amplify’ Acer’s Predator line-up such as computer systems, peripherals as well as gaming monitors.

The Acer Thronos has been showcased at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur Major which is happening on the 16 November 2018 until 18 November 2018. With only 2 units of the Acer Thronos in Malaysia, the entire setup costs RM56999 which is close to a full spec Perodua Myvi.

Today Acer has recently announced the release of two new gaming monitors, particularly the Acer Predator XB273K and the Acer Nitro XV273K priced at RM4599 and RM2999 respectively. The Acer Nitro XV273K will be available at all Acer Online Stores and authorised resellers nationwide starting mid November 2018 while the Predator XB273K will be available starting mid December 2018.

During IFA in Berlin, Acer has announced the launch of the Acer Swift 5 which is the world’s lightest 15.6-inch laptop weighing at only 990 grams along with thin bezels up to 87.6% screen-to-body ratio and Full HD screen resolution. Not only that, there’s also the new Swift 3 which comes with a 13.3-inch display as well as 14-inch display.
