BOE Technology recently announced that they’ve made the world’s first display with a 500Hz+ refresh rate. Offering a 27-inch screen with FHD pixel resolutions, the prototype display still doesn’t have any name just yet but it will use a high mobility 0xide backplane and support 8Lane eDP output, true 8 bit output and feature a 1ms response rate.

The company currently has Samsung and LG Display supplying OLED display panels to them. Other than the two, there's also BOE trying to join the supply chain but has failed. Now, it is reported the Chinese manufacturer couldn't pass Apple's validation the second time for some reasons.

Joining the foldable screen bandwagon is Chinese screen manufacturer, BOE. A GIF of the device was posting by Chinese telecommunications operator, China Unicorn show the screen folded from the middle and quickly switching from phone to tablet mode. The foldable display was showcased at the Xinhua News Agency Chengdu New Media Conference in China.
