As you know, many smartphone brands are branching out into laptops these days. For Huawei, we've seen quite a few just this year like the MateBook 14s that we unboxed earlier this week. Next week, the company plans to release another MateBook for the E series.

Based on a statement by a weibo user, it seems that Huawei could be planning to release a Huawei Mate 30 series smartphone called the Mate 30 Pro E during the Mate 40 launch that’s happening very soon. Chinese tech company Huawei has come up with their latest line of Windows 10 laptops in Berlin, Germany today. Namely the MateBook X, MateBook E and the MateBook D.

Meizu has unveiled their new E series yesterday, the Meizu M3E as a new mid-range smartphone, it comes with some decent tech-specs and pricing is economical as well for 1299 Yuan (around RM784), the smartphone will go on sale on 14 August in China first at their official website and Lynx store. As we're coming closer to 10 August, Meizu will soon reveal their new E series and it's believed that this new series is aimed to take on the new Xiaomi Redmi Pro. What's more, a new leak from Weibo has revealed some interesting tidbits, such as the phone being called the new Meizu Blue Charm E aiming at the younger target audience (possibly young adults and below), and it has a special feature.

In just a few hours ago, Meizu has posted a teaser announcing an event coming soon on 10 August 2016. While that's actually nothing new, since the rumours have long predicted a new device from the company, what's actually interesting is that Meizu is hinting a brand new device family line, possibly calling it the Meizu E series.

Affordable smartphones are now dime a dozen, with all the manufacturers are trying to tap into this market as more people move to smartphones as their first internet device. Motorola’s Moto E is the company’s own take on affordable smartphone, but now with Lenovo’s ownership, the brand may just rebrand one model to another to save R&D money.
